“No Your Highness, the king hasn’t return yet after your departure.” The demon guard says with a strong voice of admiration.
Growing quiet, the demon queen raises her head towards the crimson-colored sky with a longing look. “He hasn’t come back yet…”
Involuntarily, the corners of her lips revealed a bitter shape as gloom gradually formed overhead.
“Mother…” Bai Xiachen subconsciously sensed the dampened mood and grabbed his mother’s hand, “Nothing will happen to Father, and I will protect you in Father’s stead!”
Bai Yan’s fingers lightly stroked her eldest’s hair: “Don’t worry about me Sweetie, I believe in your father too. Let’s go inside, I’m sure you’re all tired.”

Suzaku shook her head slightly and turned to the woman behind herself.
