At this moment the whole lobby had fallen into a deadly silence as all eyes focused in on the somewhat thin looking youngster.
“Holy shit, is this some kind of movie shoot?”
“Man, what kind of monster is this guy?”
“This… murder… he’s killed them!”
Those receptionists were so scared at this point that they’ve hidden themselves behind the front desks. In their view, the security guards for this office building are all very strong and capable, yet a single person not only flipped them, he also beat them with a single blow each! Even worse was the fact that they couldn’t even catch how the person did it!
Shooting a glance at the unconscious men lying on the floor, Ye Chen shakes his head helplessly at their foolishness and then came back to the waiting area for a seat. His demeanor remains nonchalant like he’s done nothing wrong here in this case and even went ahead to grab a nearby magazine to read on the sofa.
“By the way friend, do you know when Xia Ru Xue is coming down?” Ye Chen asks the bunch of suited men nearby who happens to be free at the moment.
Despite the friendly attitude, the businessmen who wanted to become partners of this firm were taking this as a warning instead. They literally bolted for the door in the next second and ran for their lives like they’ve just met some gangster on the streets.
“Really, it’s not like I’m going to hurt any of you, did you guys really need to run? Oh forget it, that Xia Ru Xue is bound to come down eventually.” Done muttering to himself, Ye Chen went ahead to continue his carefree behavior.

The rest of the security department did eventually learn of what’s happened in the lobby, however, that was already several minutes later and took even longer before the rest of the securities in this building managed to gather in the main lobby with heavily armed equipment’s – stun batons and riot shields.

Leading this group was someone by the name of Xu Qiang, the head of the securities here in this building. When he saw how the glasses were all shattered at the front area and his two injured subordinates sprawled along the marbled flooring, his face immediately turned ugly as a frown overtook that expression.
He’s a retired Special Forces from the military so he’s very well adapted to combat and emergencies. Based on his judgement of the situation, the shattered glass and the perpetrator’s carefree attitude meant the other side was very dangerous. Life threatening even if he didn’t take this matter seriously or handle it well.
Taking a step forward, Xu Qiang spoke tentatively in order to not provoke the other side: “Sir, don’t you think this is a bit much to make such a mess? We’ve already contacted the police and they will be here shortly.”
Not minding the veiled threat in those words, Ye Chen stopped his reading and frankly responded: “I’m assuming you’re those twos superior? Why don’t you go find out the specifics first before continuing to lecture me? I only wanted to sit here and wait for someone.”
A heavy thud rocked Xu Qiang’s heart at the truth. How could he not know the personality of those two unconscious fellas over there? It’s well known among their department that those two idiots have been using their position to throw weights around. Considering all the clues and facts in his face, it’s clear that they’ve finally kicked a wall that they shouldn’t have!
Regardless, the main issue remains on what to do with this young man here first. Looking at the fearless behavior, this head of security was starting to wonder if Ye Chen had someone on the inside to be so unaffected in the front.
Softening up in his attitude to be on the safe side, Xu Qiang presses for more details in order to confirm his suspicion: “Sir, do you mind telling me who you’re waiting for? Perhaps I can help avoid pushing this matter further and creating a mess we both don’t want.”
Happily pricking his brow at the inquiry, Ye Chen didn’t waste the opportunity and explained his reasoning for the visit: “Xia Ru Xue, I’m here to meet her.”
Almost instantaneously, Xu Qiang’s face went bleak from the name. If it was someone else then he could definitely help notify them, but this was Xia Ru Xue, the CEO of the Beautiff Corporation and first daughter of the Xia Family!
A powerful and influential woman with powerful backings, there’s no way he would bring some random stranger to his own boss’s face!
What’s more, its well-known among the company that Xia Ru Xue doesn’t like meeting anyone that doesn’t have an appointment. That rule was placed by the lady herself so none of the employees would want to test that water.
As for this unknown person demanding a meeting with the CEO, whether it be for business reasons or personal reasons, this head of securities had no reason to oblige the request in any way. What if he’s some sort of terrorist? Wouldn’t he be inviting a wolf into the den if he did that?
“I’m sorry sir, but the president is not in today. If there’s something else you need then you can leave your contact info behind and I will pass it on to President Ru Xue when she returns.”
Naturally Ye Chen knew that was a lie. One of the reasons he made such a big commotion in the first place was to draw out the woman upstairs so passing on a message was an out for him.
