Ye Chen’s Journey Chapter 1 p1

Chapter 1 “I Don’t Want to Kill!” (p1)

On another earth of another world.

The summer heat was blazing hot today as a young man wearing a t-shirt and baseball cap casually strolled through the local highspeed railway station. He was very ordinary in appearance, just like the local crowd that’s moving left and right around himself.

“Five years already….” Ye Chen continued to walk towards the exit where he was suddenly stopped by the towering image that came into his view – it’s the tallest structure in Leaf City.

“Leaf City! I, Ye Chen, am finally back! That banquet at the Cloud Pond Villa destroyed my family and only left me alive. If not for Mother’s last-ditch effort of pushing me off of the cliff and into the gushing waters below, perhaps this place would never have a Ye House again!”

At this point the young man’s hands had crumpled into a tight ball due to his fluctuating emotions. There’s an oppressive aura spreading across the air in all direction as a result of this, causing the visitors of this terminal to feel a suffocating grip against their throat.

Hell was all that could be used to describe this moment!

“Zheng Jing Ming! Lord Long! And all those who coldly watched as my parents got killed! None of you would expect my return right?”

“Perhaps I should thank you all. If not for all of you, I wouldn’t have met my shifu (master), nor would I return with a body full of destructive and unapparelled powers!”

“This time, I swear, anyone involved in that matter, I’m going to make you all pay a thousand-fold!”

……

Seconds later, Ye Chen finally let’s his hands go and took a taxi for the main city center. Thankfully so too because if he had waited any longer, those poor visitors behind him might’ve perished under his pressure.

Along the way during his cab ride, past memories continued to emerge in the young man’s head. It’s painful and suffocating.

Originally he hailed from a large household with many relatives in its fold, food and clothing abundant, thus making his life worry-free. Although the circle of people around him always mocked him and called him a useless garbage in life, but with his parents around, he was content….

Sadly, all of that shattered five years ago and his fate forever changed!

In order to protect a little girl during the banquet at the Cloud Pond Villa, his father offended a man that was said to have come from the capital city of this country. As a result, the infuriated man slapped Ye Chen’s father and then murdered him in front of many.

None stepped in to help back then.

Not his father’s former friends.

Not those who courted the Ye House at the time.

Even worse, not even his own trusted uncle, his father’s very own brother, would help!

He went crazy, he struggled, and he picked up the nearest kitchen knife to rush at the murderer of his father!

But in the end, Ye Chen was repelled with but a single finger from that murderer!

He could still vividly remember that scornful picture. The indifference in the man’s eye and the cold heartless words that came out of those lips: “Ye House of Leaf City? What the heck is this? Let’s pretend you are a family clan from the capital, I can still crush you with one finger! You are nothing but a measly ant in front of me yet you dare to point a knife at me? Hoho, why are you glaring at me like that? Know your own place! Even if I give you a hundred years you will still not change your fate! You are a useless trash in life so quit dreaming!”

To everyone’s surprise, a woman suddenly rushed over at this moment of humiliation and exhausted her full strength in order to push the young Ye Chen into the rushing river behind the villa, which led into the vast mass of water that was Lake Branchwood.

Even after all this time, Ye Chen would never forget that moment when he was pushed by his own dearest mother. It’s sharp clarity visible at every turn when he closed his eyes because that’s the look of someone who was determined to face death, that’s why his mother pushed him….

Ye Chen naturally thought his life would end on that night when he got washed away by the gushing current. However, beyond expectation, he was saved by an old man at the lower banks of the lake.

Afterwards he was then brought to an isolated place. There, his savior taught him peerless techniques and a method of cultivation called ((The Nine Heaven Mantra)).

No one knows what happened to Ye Chen during these past five years while he was over there. They only knew there appeared a demon one day and they dubbed this individual the “Bloodthirst Dragon”!
