The Ninth Secret Bureau chapter 0 p4

Chapter 0 “Prologue Part 4”

Seconds and minutes ticked forward like this until an audible cracking sound could be heard in the air. Something was starting to dislodge in Gold Happy’s face!

“Stop!! I had enough, I will talk!!”

Despite hearing the plea, Fatty Ho didn’t stop his kindred smile and grabbed the lamp closest to them and used it as a weapon to smash it into his captive’s head. Only after that did the violent interrogator seem pleased by nodding at that bloodstream.

“Say it, where’s the key?”

Gold Happy’s a man of standard. He doesn’t speak to the cops, not ever in his life, a creed he’s never broken yet.

“What key?” He replied with a dubious tone like he doesn’t quite understand.

“What do you think?” Fatty Ho smirks as he picks up the broken lamp and smashes it down heavier than the last, almost causing the recipient to faint with white eyeballs due to the excruciating pain.

“If you don’t have the key then what opened the locks to the Lin Family’s vault? Don’t tell me you managed that with your mental fortitude, I won’t buy that excuse.”

Speaking up to this point, Fatty Ho placed the lamp down and tossed the captive out across the room like he’s flinging garbage.

“In 1973, five keys were unearthed in an excavation dig by the national museum. But before the artifacts could be relocated to the capital for further examination, one was lost during shipping.” Fatty Ho takes out a new pack of cigarette and lights it up before continuing, “I’m actually quite curious on how you got your hands on that key.”

“What key!? I don’t understand what you’re saying!!” Gold Happy squirms into the corner and attempts to quench the blood from the back of his head while avoiding eye contact with this brute.

Uncaring for the violence he caused, Fatty Ho then pulled out two photos from his pocket and gently placed it before the thief king.

One photo was taken from a surveillance video, with clear colors and a date in the lower right corner corresponding to the date of the heist pertaining to the Lin Family’s vault robbery. The other photo was much blurrier and more dated though with five metal key-shaped instruments on it.

Pleased by the deed, Fatty Ho went ahead to take a seat on the nearest chair and stocked his legs up against the table. “You may not know the origin of the key, but you must know what it does. I don’t want to know anything else now so tell me where is it.”

After Gold Happy saw the two photos, his entire existence seemed to deflate and begun to dive inward into a psychological struggle.

It was two minutes of this before the guy opened his mouth. “The key is missing.”

Hearing this, Fatty Ho didn’t utter a word and directly threw the now-destroyed lamp at the thief. “Say that again?!”

Bleeding profusely from front and back after that hit, the injury should’ve sent Gold Happy into shock by this point. But instead of doing that though, he roared and rushed at his torturer: “You think I wanted to lose the key?! I….”

That caused Fatty Ho to back down and gazed into Gold Happy’s eye for signs of falsehood. If a person could slice a human being, then this brute’s gaze would be a scalpel, sharp and capable of removing the disguise layer by layer.
