Chapter 77: I Believe You, but the Police Might Not
Shen Zhong’s slap knocked Chen Zi Hao back to his senses.
Facing all the insults and accusations, Chen Zi Hao finally realized what he had just said.
A chill crawled up from his feet and spread through his whole body.
Cold sweat broke out all over him.
“I… I said everything?”
Chen Zi Hao muttered in terror.
He didn’t know why he had lost control and spoken the truth.

His lips trembled. “Qian Qian… I was confused just now. I was talking nonsense. You believe me, right?”

She sighed softly. “I believe you, but the police might not.”
The moment Chen Zi Hao heard that, it was like he’d been struck by lightning.
He froze in place.
As soon as her words fell, the meeting room door was pushed open, and several police officers walked in.
“Chen Zi Hao, we received a report. You are suspected of misappropriating funds, molesting female employees, intentional homicide, and multiple other crimes. Come with us,” the lead police officer said, showing the relevant identification.

Chen Zi Hao denied it wildly. “You’ve got it wrong! I’m innocent. I didn’t do any of that!”
He tried to argue, his eyes full of fear and despair.
“I can testify that he molested female employees.”
A girl with a ponytail stepped forward. “I have evidence on my phone.”

Another girl with short hair shouted right after. “He verbally harassed me in the office, tricked me into going to a hotel… I have chat records as proof!”
The police officers exchanged looks and nodded.
One of them said, “Alright. We’ll record your testimony.”
Hearing the accusations from the female employees, Chen Zi Hao’s face turned even paler.
His lips quivered as he tried to refute them, but he couldn’t find the words. “Y-you’re lying. I didn’t…”
“Qian Qian, hurry and say something for me. You know I’m being framed, right?”

Chen Zi Hao was so furious at how little she seemed to care that he almost blacked out.
His face flushed bright red.
His eyes looked like they were about to spit fire.
But the police officers didn’t give Chen Zi Hao any more chances to speak. They forcibly took him out of the meeting room.
All the way down the hall, Chen Zi Hao kept shouting that he was innocent.
But his voice gradually disappeared at the end of the corridor.
“The show’s over,” Su Qian posted in the Chat Group.
Jiang Xiao Yu (Apocalypse Survival): “Whoa, Su Qian, that was way too satisfying.”

After Chen Zi Hao was taken away, people in the company started to slowly disperse.

Other employees also gathered around.

She knocked on the glass door next to the meeting room.
“You heard everything?”
With her arms crossed, Su Qian leaned against the glass door and looked at the person inside.
