Chapter 33: Breaking Into the Upper-Society Madam Circle

Early the next morning, Su Qian got up very early and walked around the backyard.

The sweet, fresh air made her feel much more energetic.

Ning Meng broke free from Su Qian’s hand and hopped around happily in the yard, chasing butterflies and playing with flowers.

Su Qian checked her phone. The contact information and addresses she had asked for yesterday were already sent by Zhou Ran.

She took a few pills, tidied up quickly, and prepared to visit those wealthy madams in Lin Jiang City who cared deeply about beauty.

The first person she visited was Madam Lin.

Madam Lin was a little over fifty, and she held considerable influence in Lin Jiang City’s social circle.

She was extremely interested in beauty products and had poured huge amounts of money and effort into skincare and maintenance.

At that moment, Madam Lin was in the treatment room doing beauty care with a few sisters.

Beauticians hurried back and forth, providing meticulous service for each madam.

She sat on the comfortable chair, frowning at the mirror. Fine lines were clearly visible at the corners of her eyes.

A patch of red rash had appeared on her face at some point.

The red bumps were scattered across her cheeks and forehead, painfully obvious.

“Sister Lin, don’t worry too much. This must be temporary. Maybe it’ll be fine in a couple of days,” one sister tried to comfort her.

Madam Lin sighed helplessly. “You don’t understand. I’ve tried all kinds of medical and cosmetic treatments. Those so-called miracle drugs, and all those expensive beauty treatments – none of them worked.”

“And I have to attend an important banquet in a few days. I don’t want to show up looking like this.”

Her voice was thick with anxiety and helplessness.

For that banquet, she had prepared carefully for a long time, from custom dresses to picking jewelry and accessories.

She had poured her heart into every step.

But she never expected this rash to ruin everything and make her miserable.

A beautician carefully used gentle skincare products to wipe her face.

She tried to ease the rash, but the effect was minimal.

“Madam Lin, did you recently come into contact with something new? Like switching to a new skincare product?” the beautician asked softly.

Madam Lin shook her head. “No. I’ve always used the same brands, and they’ve never caused problems. I don’t know what’s going on.”

Her sisters gathered around, talking over each other as they offered ideas.

“Sister Lin, why don’t you see another renowned doctor? Maybe they have a way.”

“Yeah, or try those high-end overseas beauty therapies.”

Listening to them only made Madam Lin more irritated. She knew they meant well.

But she had tried too many methods already, and she was almost desperate.

Just then, Madam Lin’s phone rang.

She glanced at the screen. It was the butler.

“Madam, the Su Family’s Eldest Miss is here.”

Madam Lin frowned, puzzled. “The Su Family’s Eldest Miss?”

Madam Lin had heard the news about the Su Family’s young lady returning.

But the Lin Family had no business dealings with the Su Family, and their relationship was not close.

There was even a generation gap between them.

It was impossible that she came to be friends with her.

“The Su Family’s little girl?” The other wealthy madams looked confused too.

“I’ve had afternoon tea with Madam Su a few times, but I’ve never really had contact with the Su Family’s young lady.” Madam Lin shook her head.

“Could Madam Su have sent her?” one wealthy madam guessed.

Madam Lin thought it over and felt it was possible. She told the beautician, “Stop for now.”

Then she told the butler, “Bring her to the treatment room.”

Soon, Su Qian walked into the room under the butler’s guidance.

Her steps were light, her gaze calm and composed, and she carried a unique presence.

When she saw the rash on Madam Lin’s face, she understood immediately, but she kept a polite smile.

Su Qian walked up with a smile. “Madam Lin, ladies, sorry to disturb you.”

The wealthy madams studied the young girl.

Seeing her calm poise, neither humble nor arrogant, and her perfectly measured politeness, they could not help looking at her a few more times.

Madam Lin was still puzzled inside, but she kept her elegant posture. “Miss Su, why are you here today?”

Su Qian did not like beating around the bush. Since Madam Lin asked directly, she answered directly.

“Madam Lin, I heard you’re very experienced in beauty and skincare. I also know you’re troubled by the rash on your face. I came today to share a unique beauty-enhancing pill.”

Madam Lin looked at her in confusion. “Beauty-enhancing pill? What is that?”

Su Qian smiled and opened the brocade box in her hand.

A round, crystal-clear pill that carried a faint medicinal fragrance appeared before everyone’s eyes.

“Madam Lin, this is a pill refined by our professional team. It’s made from multiple precious medicinal ingredients. It works very well for skin issues, like the rash on your face.”

Madam Lin and the other wealthy madams’ expressions shifted.

So she was here to sell something.

In an instant, many of them lost interest.

Su Qian did not panic. She had expected this reaction.

Madam Lin spoke with doubt. “Miss Su, is this really that magical? I’ve tried plenty of things, and none worked.”

Su Qian kept smiling. “Madam Lin, what do you think of medical beauty products these days?”

Madam Lin frowned. “Some do work a bit, but a lot of them are just hype, and they have side effects.”

“What if my product is far better than any medical beauty product on the market, and has no side effects?” Su Qian’s voice stayed steady and confident.

Madam Lin raised her brows slightly.

The other wealthy madams looked at Su Qian with strange expressions.

They had heard bragging.

They had never heard someone brag this hard.

Even a few beauticians nearby looked at Su Qian with obvious disdain, like they were looking at an idiot.

“Miss Su, you must be joking.” Madam Lin smiled and shook her head.

She treated it as a junior joking around and did not take it seriously.

“Little girl, you’re exaggerating so much. How do you guarantee it’s as magical as you claim?” A richly dressed wealthy madam grew interested.

Su Qian’s lips lifted slightly. “I guarantee it with the Su Family’s reputation.”

It had to be said, the Su Family’s status really was useful.

The moment she said it, the entire treatment room fell silent.
