Chapter 30
Chapter 30: Three Months – Take Them Out!
At last, the car arrived at the pharmaceutical plant.
Ze Zhong Pharmaceuticals was a subsidiary of the Zhou Family.
In the past, it had its own glorious moment in the industry. The big characters at the factory gate still carried some of that old grandeur.
But now, the building’s exterior walls looked worn and mottled, and the surrounding greenery had clearly been neglected. The place looked rundown.
“This pharmaceutical plant… why does it look like it’s about to shut down?”
Su Qian got out of the car and sized up the area.
“Poor management, plus fierce market competition. New product R&D couldn’t keep up. All kinds of problems piled up until it became what you see now.”
Zhou Ran got out as well. “My dad was already preparing to merge it. I volunteered to take over this mess.”
“Does your dad think you’re sick?” Su Qian gave Zhou Ran a flat look.
“Tsk, how did you know?” Zhou Ran stared at her.
When Zhou Ran said he wanted to take over Ze Zhong Pharmaceuticals, his father, Zhou Sheng Hong, really did think something was wrong with his head.
He ignored the family’s booming, rising parent company and insisted on taking over this nearly bankrupt subsidiary.
He even said outright that this good-for-nothing son was beyond saving.
“Besides, aren’t you here?”
Zhou Ran winked at her. “With you around, bringing this factory back from the dead won’t be any harder than turning your hand!”
“You trust me that much?” Su Qian crossed her arms and looked at Zhou Ran with interest.
“Of course!”
Zhou Ran looked deadly serious. “That wound-healing pill you gave me last time – I tried it on my brother. The effect was insane!”
“Topical painkillers for injuries have always been a weak spot for the Zhou Family. If I use a near-bankrupt subsidiary to develop a painkiller that crushes everything on the market, it’ll definitely push the Zhou Family to the next level in pharmaceuticals.”
The more Zhou Ran spoke, the more excited he became. His eyes gleamed.
They kept talking as they walked deeper into the plant.
Several senior executives sat around the conference table, all wearing grim expressions.
Factory Director Zhao, his hair already gray, let out a heavy sigh and broke the silence first. “If Ze Zhong Pharmaceuticals really gets merged, what about the workers?”
“Factory Director Zhao, headquarters has decided to merge us. Our cash flow is about to break. We don’t have enough money to maintain normal production, let alone develop new products to win back the market.”
Finance Director and General Manager Li rubbed his temples, exhaustion written all over his face.
“Didn’t headquarters send someone over? Maybe there’s still a chance.”
General Manager Li sneered. “They sent the Zhou Family’s Second Young Master, that famous spoiled rich heir. What does he know about pharmaceuticals?”
“I bet he’s just here to go through the motions, then follow headquarters’ plan and merge this place.”
“Yeah. That Young Master Zhou Ran only knows how to drink, party, and waste money. What could he possibly do to save this factory?”
“I think we should start planning our way out early.”
After that, everyone fell into silence again.
…
Just then, Zhou Ran brought Su Qian into the conference room.
The senior executives all stood up to greet them.
“Young Master Zhou.”
They were full of complaints inside, but they still had to keep their manners. After all, Zhou Ran was sent by headquarters.
No matter what they thought of this so-called “spoiled rich heir,” they still had to look respectful on the surface.
Zhou Ran nodded slightly, signaling everyone to sit.
The senior executives glanced at Su Qian beside him and mistakenly assumed she was some new girlfriend or something.
But they had no interest in gossip right now.
“Tsk, why does everyone look so gloomy?”
The moment Zhou Ran sat down, he crossed one leg over the other, rested his hands casually on the armrests, and wore a rebellious smile.
The senior executives exchanged looks.
In the end, Factory Director Zhao spoke up. “Young Master Zhou, this isn’t us being gloomy. We’re being forced by the situation…”
“I know.” Zhou Ran nodded and cut him off.
He had investigated before coming.
If this factory were not about to collapse, he would not have come.
“So I’m here to save the day.” Zhou Ran’s smile stayed relaxed.
The senior executives wore bitter smiles.
A spoiled brat really was a spoiled brat, talking about something this serious like it was nothing.
Then again, he was the Zhou Group’s young master. A single pharmaceutical plant was probably nothing in his eyes.
Factory Director Zhao secretly shook his head.
“What are you panicking for?” Zhou Ran lifted his chin. “I brought you help.”
He could see their thoughts clearly.
He stood up and introduced her. “This is Su Qian, the Su Group’s Eldest Miss. Whether this pharmaceutical plant can rise again depends entirely on her.”
Hearing that she was the Su Group’s Eldest Miss, surprise flashed in their eyes.
The Su Group did not even operate in pharmaceuticals. How could she possibly bring a near-bankrupt plant back from the dead?
“Sister Qian, say a few words?” Zhou Ran winked at Su Qian.
Su Qian could not help rolling her eyes at him.
How old are you? How old am I?
You’re calling me sister?
Do you have any manners?
But she also knew this was not the time to argue about it.
“Who’s the top painkiller company in Lin Jiang City?” Su Qian asked bluntly after sitting down.
The senior executives froze at the question and looked at each other.
Then Factory Director Zhao answered, “Naturally, it’s Hua Kang Pharmaceuticals. They’ve been deeply rooted in painkillers for years, and they hold more than half the market.”
Su Qian gave a light smile. “Good. Three months – take them out!”
The conference room erupted.
The senior executives stared at each other, faces full of shock and disbelief.
“Miss Su, you… you can’t be joking, right?” Factory Director Zhao’s eyes widened. Even his voice trembled.
To him, Hua Kang Pharmaceuticals’ position in Lin Jiang City’s painkiller market was almost unshakable.
Surpassing them in just three months was pure fantasy.
He had thought the Second Young Master Zhou was unreliable.
He did not expect the Su Family’s Eldest Miss to be even more unreliable.
Su Qian ignored their shock.
With her arms crossed, she continued, “Healing, detoxifying, beauty… what about the leaders in those fields?”
She rattled off several kinds of specialty medicine in a row, asking who the leading companies were.
Factory Director Zhao snapped back to his senses and answered one by one.
After listening, Su Qian’s lips curved slightly. “Three months – and we’ll take them out too, while we’re at it!”
The room erupted again.
They thought a real helper had arrived.
Instead, a madman showed up?
In three months, leaving aside whether they could develop products that surpassed those leading companies,
even if they succeeded, market promotion, channel expansion, and brand building – which one did not take huge time and effort?
Even Zhou Ran’s eyes widened.
“Sis, aren’t we bragging a little too hard?” He gently poked Su Qian and whispered.
He had seen the wound-healing pill’s effect with his own eyes.
But detoxifying, beauty, and all the rest…
Taking out those companies in the short term?
Was she crazy, or was he?
One senior executive could not hold back and stood up, voice heated.
“Miss Su, aren’t you just talking big? Let’s not even talk about whether you truly have that ability.”
“Just look at our little Ze Zhong Pharmaceuticals. We’re already on the verge of bankruptcy. Where do we get the resources to do so many things at once?”
