Chapter 27: Beast World Transmigrator
Su Qian’s lips curved into a mocking smile.
Lin Qin felt like her heart had turned to ash. She slowly stood and wiped the tears from her face.
“Since you’ve all decided, I have nothing more to say. But I won’t forget what you did to me today.”
She turned to Su Qian and Zhou Ran. “I’ll go with you.”
The Lin family finally relaxed.
Father Lin fawned over Su Qian. “Eldest Miss, don’t worry. This girl will work hard for you.”
Mother Lin echoed quickly, “Yes, Eldest Miss, don’t worry.”
Su Qian gave a slight nod, but there was no warmth in her eyes. She looked at Lin Qin. “Let’s go.”
Lin Qin followed silently behind Su Qian and Zhou Ran.
Zhou Ran waved a hand, signaling the bodyguards to prepare to leave.
The Lin family watched them with longing eyes. Father Lin asked cautiously, “Then… Eldest Miss, when will we get the one million?”
Zhou Ran glared at him. “After Lin Qin goes with us, it’ll naturally be transferred to your account.”
The Lin family didn’t dare say another word.
They could only watch as Lin Qin left with Su Qian and the others.
Five years was a timeframe Su Qian had chosen carefully. By then, Lin Qin would have graduated from college.
If Lin Qin wanted to break free from her original family, Su Qian would give her a hand.
If Lin Qin still chose to return to her original family, Su Qian wouldn’t interfere anymore.
After all, everyone had their own choices and their own road to walk.
Su Qian brought Lin Qin into the car.
Zhou Ran and the bodyguards got in as well. The vehicles started up and drove away.
In the back seat, Lin Qin still felt her heart racing. “Sister Su Qian, thank you.”
Su Qian looked at her through the rearview mirror, her gaze a little gentler. “No need. I promised your sister I’d take good care of you. Don’t overthink it. Pull yourself together and focus on the college entrance exam. I’m sure your sister would be happy if she knew you got into a good university.”
Warmth rose in Lin Qin’s chest. Her eyes reddened, and she choked out, “Sister Su Qian, I’ll work hard. I won’t let you and Sister down.”
“Tsk, are we really giving that one million to those scumbags?” Zhou Ran asked from the front passenger seat, back to his usual tone.
Su Qian fell silent for a moment, looking out the window.
“Give it.” She paused, then smiled. “Since I promised, I can’t go back on my word. But… some people did wrong, and they should be punished.”
Zhou Ran perked up and sat straight. “What do you mean? Tell me, tell me.”
Su Qian smiled slightly, a sly glint in her eyes. “Lin Tian Ci stabbing his classmate can’t just be brushed off.”
Zhou Ran’s eyes lit up, and he understood immediately. “No problem. I already handed the evidence to the police, along with the victim’s statement. Leave it to me. I’ll make sure he sits in there nice and proper!”
“There’s one more thing.” Su Qian glanced at the luxury cars following behind them and couldn’t help twitching her lips. “Remember to settle the rental fees for the cars and the money for the bodyguards.”
Zhou Ran’s smile froze. He looked stunned. “I’m paying?”
“Who else would?” Su Qian shot back.
Zhou Ran pulled a long face. “So I run errands, I play the lackey, I serve you front to back, and in the end I still have to pay out of my own pocket?”
“Weren’t you having a great time acting?” Su Qian glanced at him, shamelessly confident. “Besides, I don’t have money.”
Zhou Ran rolled his eyes.
A few days ago, who was it that auctioned off porcelain for tens of millions? And now she was telling him she was broke?
Yeah, right.
All he could do was sigh. “Fine, fine. I accept it.”
“You’re the stingiest person I’ve ever met,” he added.
“Thanks for the compliment,” Su Qian said with a straight face.
Zhou Ran got completely choked. For a moment, he didn’t know what to say.
In the back seat, Lin Qin watched them bicker, and the gloom in her heart faded a little.

Su Qian kept her word. Right after they left, she had someone transfer the money.
The Lin family stared at the sudden extra one million in their account, eyes full of joy and greed.

But before the Lin family could celebrate for long, several uniformed police officers suddenly appeared at their door.
The Lin family panicked. Father Lin’s smile froze. Mother Lin went pale.
Lin Tian Ci’s eyes widened in terror, a bad feeling surging up inside him.
The police officers looked at them seriously. “Lin Tian Ci is suspected of intentional assault. And you are suspected of extortion. We’re taking him back for investigation.”
Father Lin hurried forward. “Officer, is there some misunderstanding here?”
The police officer replied coldly, “We act according to the law. We have sufficient evidence that Lin Tian Ci intentionally harmed someone, and that you extorted others. That extra one million in your account is also evidence. There’s no misunderstanding. Cooperate with our work.”
Mother Lin panicked and started crying as she tried to explain.
But the police didn’t change their attitude because of her excuses.
“It’s her-it has to be her setting us up!” Lin Tian Ci wasn’t stupid. He finally saw the pattern. He’d said it from the start-how could that damn girl be worth one million?
They’d clearly worked together to trap him!
“No, Officer, we were framed! We absolutely didn’t extort anyone!” the Lin family still tried to argue.
“Save it for inside!” the police said, ignoring them.
They took them away for further investigation.
Su Qian was enjoying a massage at a hotel when she received a message from Zhou Ran.
“Lin Tian Ci’s family got taken away by the police. The verdict should be out in a few days.”
Su Qian’s lips curved into a satisfied smile.
Just as expected.
A few days later, Lin Tian Ci’s verdict came out.
His intentional assault charge stood, and he was sentenced to three years in prison.
Father Lin and Mother Lin were sentenced to five years in prison for extortion.
During those days, Su Qian didn’t sit idle either. She contacted a nursing home for Uncle Jiang.
She also showed Uncle Jiang a bunch of videos from the phone Jiang Xiao Yu had sent back last time.
After Su Qian and Jiang Xiao Yu took turns persuading him, Uncle Jiang was finally settled.
