You Lan snorted: “What do you take me for? This is Human Race land. Outsiders are not allowed to run wild here.”

Li Shuang opened her mouth to speak again, but You Lan’s gaze sharpened as she said: “No more talk.”

She stepped to Li Shuang’s side. The Revolving Wheel in her hand spun faster and faster as she slipped into a battle stance.

Seeing this, Li Shuang stopped arguing. Black Abyss flowed with a dark light in her grip.

“If you will not wake up, then both of you will stay here,” the leader of the Devil Seeds said.

They stopped wasting time. Their demonized bodies slipped straight through the Barrier Formation and lunged at the two women.

All ten Integration Stage Devil Seeds struck without warning.

You Lan sent her voice into Li Shuang’s ear: “Fight as we fall back and draw them into the Gale Gorge; I have a Secret Art that can control the gales.”

If the winds could be made to help, their chances would rise.

Li Shuang gave the smallest nod. Rather than meeting the charge head on, both women turned and ran toward the Gale Gorge at once.

“Chase,” the leader snapped: “Today, Li will fall here.”

The Devil Seeds rushed after them. Under You Lan’s control, the gales gathered from every direction. Li Shuang and You Lan stood at the eye of the wind, each woman giving her back to the other without a second thought.

In terms of cultivation, Li Shuang had not yet entered the Integration Stage, and You Lan was only Early Integration Stage, while all the Devil Seeds were Peak Integration. On pure realm alone, the Devil Seeds held the edge.

“You Lan, what are you doing? Are you helping Li,” the whisper pressed: “If there were no Li, you would still be number one on the Genius Ranking. You would still be the first genius of the Human Race.”

“The sect would be proud of you. The City Lord would look at you with new respect. You would lead the young generation.”

Then the voice rose, sharp and eager: “But now, everyone only sees Li. Standing next to her, you will be dull and dim. You Lan, kill her, kill her. As long as you kill her, everything will still be yours.”
