She gave him a side glance. She did not deny it, but her attitude did not change: “Whether I can accept them is my business. You hiding things and ambushing me is a different matter.”

She took a Spirit Bead from the Violet Cloud Ring. Her right hand drew fast. Star Marsh could not even see the strokes.

The elder recognized it and cried: “A Soul Locking Talisman!”

Ye Wan Wan said lightly, “In you go.”

She struck and sealed the elder’s spirit body into the bead. The Soul Locking Bead was formed. From inside the bead came the elder’s muffled shout: “You girl, where did you learn that? I am at least half your master.”

The cave collapsed. In its place a huge whirlpool opened, swallowing everyone on the cliff. It even took the speck of dust hidden in the air.
