And Zhou Yan Feng, the hostage, was flung away, slamming into the ground. The pain made him cough uncontrollably.

But regaining his freedom, he instinctively rolled aside once.

Zhou Tong He had already reacted. He quickly hauled up his brother and their unconscious father, then staggered as he dragged them behind Fu Qing Han for cover.

Seeing her son safe and sound, Madam Zhou burst into tears.

Jiang Shi Yue straightened her back. In the next second, she kicked a massive boulder beside her. The moment it cracked, rock fragments burst in every direction. Crocodile Man snarled and swiped, trying to knock away the fragments that were blocking his view.

He lunged at Jiang Shi Yue and, almost crazed, pursued her. His claws were like a raging wind, sweeping the fragments up into the air.

But Jiang Shi Yue stepped on the flying fragments, sprang into the air, and with one leap she smashed her fist into Crocodile Man’s head. Crocodile Man could not dodge in time and crashed to the ground, his massive body raising layer after layer of dust.

Jiang Shi Yue drove another powerful punch down. His head took the blow and sank deep into the ground.

She grabbed Crocodile Man by the neck again and lifted his huge body out of the crater with one hand.

With his pulse pinned under her grip, she spoke low beside him. “How did you end up here?”
