Chapter 16
Chapter 16: Just now I was kidding – I really recorded it
A sharp whoosh of a fist cutting through the air sounded again. Jiang Shi Yue dodged lightly, then used a burst of strength to throw Scar-Faced Man over her shoulder, slamming him hard onto the floor.
The last one was even easier. She sent him flying with a single kick, and he went to keep company with the man already lying on the ground.
Before anyone could even see clearly what had happened, all four men were down. Their faces had turned purple, their features twisted in pain as they clutched their chests and clenched their teeth. Fine beads of sweat slid down from their temples, and they stared at Jiang Shi Yue in fear.
The moment an expert made a move, you could tell.
They fought and brawled all the time. They were experienced. This girl was terrifyingly strong. Forget four of them – even if four more came, they still wouldn’t be her match.
That strength was real. It hurt so badly it felt like their hearts were about to cramp up.
Yet even in that pain, none of them dared to cry out.
Because they heard Jiang Shi Yue say softly, “Don’t make a sound, or I’ll be even harsher.”
Jiang Mei Ling and Zhao Lan Lan tried to spin around and run out the door, but the Jiang Shi Yue who had been in the corner somehow appeared at the entrance. With a light twist, she snapped the metal doorknob off.
The metal handle hit the floor with a crisp clang. That sound felt like it carried a kind of death sentence, making everyone’s hearts tighten.
Zhao Lan Lan’s legs trembled, and she collapsed onto the floor.
Jiang Shi Yue walked up to her. Zhao Lan Lan’s hair was a mess, her face deathly pale. Her nails dug into the floor as she screamed like she’d lost her mind, “What are you going to do? Someone!!! Help!!!”
“Are you sure you want to call someone over?” Jiang Shi Yue looked down at her. She had no idea when, but she was holding a small voice recorder now, and she pressed it lightly.
[“Be careful. Don’t play too rough.”
“You… don’t get serious. We agreed we’d just film a video. It’s not really…”
“What are you scared of? You brought her in. You and I are in the same boat now. Don’t think you can back out.”
“Alright. Second Miss Jiang has spoken. Just put on a show. You’ll have plenty of chances to have fun later.”
“Fine, we’ll listen to Eldest Miss Zhao.”]
Jiang Shi Yue smiled brightly. “Hehe. Just now I was kidding. I really recorded it.”
Zhao Lan Lan went completely limp on the floor. Off to the side, Jiang Mei Ling was so scared she started crying, frozen in place.
Jiang Shi Yue continued, unhurried. “Originally, I wanted to swap out the drugged drink and have you drink it for me. But then I thought about it, and that would be too boring, wouldn’t it? When someone’s awake, it’s the most fun.”
“What do you want?” Zhao Lan Lan roared hysterically.
“I have a bad temper. If someone messes with me, I always take revenge.” Jiang Shi Yue smiled as she spoke, then used the tip of her shoe to nudge one of the men. “Find an angle. I want to take photos – the kind that are full of artistry and beauty.”
“Don’t worry. I won’t hurt you. I’m not like you.” Jiang Shi Yue added in a soothing voice, “I’m a completely good person.”
The four men understood. Enduring the pain, they all struggled to their feet, surrounded Zhao Lan Lan, and leaned in as if they were going to kiss her, but none of them dared to actually do it.
But when had Zhao Lan Lan ever suffered something like this, especially with the stench of alcohol and sweat hitting her face?
Zhao Lan Lan completely broke down. She struggled desperately, but her arms were pinned. The difference in strength was too great, and tears of humiliation poured down her face.
