Chapter 089
Chapter 89: A Wild Night
Xiao Man let go of Lin Qing Xuan, blood staining her red lips. This dream felt shockingly real, even the pain and taste of blood were so clear. But with her mind eaten by Demonic Qi, she had no room to think. Anger and refusal surged wild inside her, burning away reason until only a near-mad obsession remained.
She lifted her eyes to his face so handsome it could topple cities, and a wicked fire leaped up as she said: “You made the pretty boy I liked disappear. How are you going to pay me back for that?”
She stressed each word on purpose as she said: “Remember, from now on, I am Sister, and you are Little Brother.”
The space Buddha power had cleared was foggy and empty, holding only the two of them. Frowning at the bare room, she pointed at him like a little tyrant and said: “Good Little Brother, make that sofa from before for Sister. Standing and talking is tiring.”
A thread of helpless humor crossed Lin Qing Xuan’s eyes. He knew she meant the round booth from the bar. With a flick of his Mind-Voice, a soft, comfortable couch appeared out of thin air. Pleased, Xiao Man patted his shoulder and said: “You’re a pretty good Little Brother.”
She pulled him down to sit and slid long fingers over his brows, bold and teasing as she asked: “Lin Qing Xuan, be honest, where did you learn those sweet words? How many girls have you said them to?” Then she remembered something and snickered, adding in a whisper: “You must have only said them to me. You do not even look straight at other girls.”
Tilting her head, she pushed on with a taunt as she said: “So you just flirt with me in secret every day. Sometimes you stir my heart.”
Her fingertips trailed along his cheek, her voice turning both soft and fierce as she said: “You are not some enlightened Buddha’s Chosen. You are a man-fox wrapped in a monk’s robe.”
Before the words faded, her hands made up their own mind and went straight to the white sleep robe at his side. She tried to pull it open, but the robe tied along the side with tricky knots would not yield. The more anxious she grew, the less they would come loose. Heat flared in her and she swatted her own hands away as she snapped: “Sister orders you, undress yourself.”
His ears burned as he caught her restless hands, his voice rough as he asked: “You truly want me to undress? When that happens, you won’t be able to walk away.”
“Who said I’d leave,” she shot back with a rising smile, her gaze hooking into his as she said: “You owe me a muscle man. Pay me back with yourself.”
His breath hitched. Her fingers still hooked his belt, skimming his tight waist and stomach with a heat that stung. She lifted her face, stubborn fire dancing in those pretty eyes like she meant to set him on fire as she said: “What is it? Our Buddha’s Chosen lord, are you afraid?”
His throat bobbed hard, his eyes turning night-dark. In the next instant he snapped up a hand and clamped her wrist, the grip strong enough to almost crush bone. She hissed at the pain but bit her lip and refused to make a sound. Instead she tipped her head back and leaned closer, her nose almost brushing his chin, their breaths tangling as she began: “You—”
The world flipped. Lin Qing Xuan pressed her down into the wide couch in one fluid move. His tall body dropped like a shadow, covering her as his hot breath spilled over the sensitive curve of her ear. His voice was hoarse, each word a heavy weight as he said: “Xiao Man, look closely. The one pinning you down right now is me.”
Her heart hammered fast enough to jump from her throat, but she would not yield. Her fingers slipped along his open collar and found the firm, heated lines beneath. She tipped a wicked grin and said: “Wow, your abs are harder than theirs.” Defiant and bright, she added: “Lin Qing Xuan, I am not your Xiao Man. I am Jiang Yi Yi. In here, I make the rules.”
“Mm, Jiang Yi Yi,” he answered low, the tail of his voice curving into danger as he said: “Remember, tonight, you started this.”
He bent without warning and bit her lips hard. “Mmph.” The kiss punished, near to a bite, and the taste of blood filled their mouths. Shaking, Xiao Man clenched at his shoulder, but he locked her in place with a palm behind her head, forcing her to take the wild storm of his claim.
When the long kiss finally broke, their breathing was wrecked. His thumb brushed the corner of her mouth, his eyes deep and unsteady as he asked: “Now, do you still want a muscle man?”
Her chest rose and fell. Meeting the near-uncontrolled blaze in his eyes, she let a sly smile curve her lips. She grabbed the gap of his collar and yanked him close, her flushed mouth grazing his ear as her warm breath trembled over his skin and she whispered: “I want you.”
That night, time turned long and blurry. Demonic Qi coiled in her heart and swept away every bit of shyness until only the pure plunge remained, their breaths weaving together again and again. Lin Qing Xuan seemed tireless, filling her senses from start to finish.
At dawn, Xiao Man rubbed her aching waist and dragged herself up from the bed. Flashes from the dream, hot and scattered, jolted back into her mind, and she froze where she stood as her ears burned scarlet. She stammered to herself: “I… last night I dreamed…”
A cool voice drifted down from the doorway, unhurried as it asked: “What did you dream of?”
She snapped her head up and found Lin Qing Xuan leaning by the door. He still wore white, his brows and eyes like a painting, clear and dustless. If not for the faint, unmistakable red mark on his neck that refused to be hidden, the picture would have been perfect.
Xiao Man stared: “!!!”
“I carried you back,” he said, his tone calm and flat, without a ripple, yet it tightened her heart all the same as he added: “Do you remember?”
He did not avoid what had happened last night.
Her face flamed red in anger and in shame.
The Heart Demon Tuan Tuan, restored a little after a night’s rest, sprang lightly onto her bed and chirped: “Oh ho, you two did well. Struck sparks behind my back, did you?”
It bared a mouthful of tiny white teeth and grumbled: “If I hadn’t been out of shape last night, I would have done Dreamwalking to help your love along and watched the live show to learn a thing or two.”
“Shut up,” they roared together, Lin Qing Xuan and Xiao Man in perfect sync.
Lin Qing Xuan’s brows knotted as he thought: [Heart Demon, this has nothing to do with you.]
Wishing she could crawl into a hole, Xiao Man fumed inside: [So embarrassing. You lecherous Cat Demon, you even wanted to watch? Do you have no shame at all?]
