Chapter 158
Chapter 158: Big Golden Dragon smugly showed off the bite marks on his neck, saying his wife left them on purpose
Jiang Tea Tea’s pupils tightened. She stared at Chong Ming’s offered neck and his exposed, powerful chest.
Her heart raced. Her mouth went dry. She swallowed hard.
She craved.
She was hungry.
She wanted to gnaw him.
Chong Ming watched her expression. He leaned closer and spoke in that same low, rough voice. “Jiang Tea Tea, is this distance okay? Do you need me to come closer?”
Jiang Tea Tea swallowed again, staring at the pulse in his throat like a pathetic little hungry cat. “If you really let me bite you, I’ll tear off your meat and drink your blood.”
Good heavens. He was blatantly tempting her, like he was saying: Come on. Gnaw me. Bury me under your roots.
As a great demon, facing a pure yang tonic that didn’t resist—and even offered itself—she honestly wanted to climb on with all four limbs and start biting.
Chong Ming’s lips curved faintly. “I said you can bite, so bite. Consider it my apology for plucking your bud yesterday.”
So that was why he suddenly offered himself.
An apology.
Since it was an apology, Jiang Tea Tea felt zero guilt. She told herself that biting, drinking blood, taking what she wanted—that was what she deserved.
“I’m really biting?”
She couldn’t hide the glee in her eyes, but she still asked.
Chong Ming held her gaze. “Come. Bite.”
Jiang Tea Tea leaned in and bit down on Chong Ming’s neck.
The pain was tiny, easy to ignore, but Chong Ming tensed all over. Veins rose on the back of his hand. His Adam’s apple bobbed once—and he also got hungry, in a way that had nothing to do with food.
There was a console between them. He leaned over; she leaned over. Her waist twisted uncomfortably, but the moment fresh dragon blood hit her mouth, her eyes lit up.
Fresh dragon blood was far better than drinking from a cup. It made a demon’s heart race, blood surge, emotions boil. She could ignore the slight discomfort in her belly.
Chong Ming’s fingers tightened, loosened, tightened again, then finally settled at Jiang Tea Tea’s waist. “Is your belly uncomfortable?”
Jiang Tea Tea was busy grinding her teeth on his neck and didn’t have time to answer, so she only made two muffled denying sounds without letting go.
Chong Ming took that as yes. He reached out and lifted her off the driver’s seat, settling her onto his lap.
Now she was straddling his legs.
Jiang Tea Tea froze and finally let go. “What are you doing? Why did you pull me over—”
Chong Ming pressed a hand to the back of her head, cutting her off, and pushed her back to his neck. His voice turned rougher still. “This way it’s easier for you to bite me and drink my blood.”
He was right. Twisting like that while biting and drinking was uncomfortable.
Now she was on his lap, facing him, arms around his neck. Biting his neck and drinking his blood was much easier, and her belly didn’t twist painfully either.
Chong Ming kept one arm around her waist, pulling her close. He felt the cubs move, caught the faint, sweet scent drifting off her, and his pulse raced harder. His fingertips trembled against her waist.
Being bitten, bleeding—it barely registered.
She was in his arms. On his lap. Close enough that his body seemed to go frighteningly still with satisfaction.
Jiang Tea Tea gnawed at his neck, drank his blood, and discovered this old dragon truly had thick skin and tough flesh. No matter how hard she bit, she couldn’t tear off a piece. She only broke the skin and drew blood.
At first she got greedy and took a huge bite, thinking losing a chunk of neck meat wouldn’t matter. With advanced medical tech, a spray of medical gel would heal it, and even if not instantly, it would be fine in a day or two.
But she couldn’t tear off meat.
So she tried smaller bites. Still nothing.
She left several bite marks on his neck. Each one bled, but none gave her meat. All she could do was grind her teeth again and again, trying to satisfy the urge.
After who knew how long, Jiang Tea Tea finally let go and swallowed. Then she burped softly and complained, “Chong, you’re just thick-skinned and tough. Your meat is too hard. I can’t bite it off.”
Chong Ming laughed low, like dangling bait. “If you can’t bite it off this time, bite next time. If you can’t bite next time, bite the time after that. One time you’ll bite it off.”
Jiang Tea Tea bit the bait like a fool. “You’ll let me bite next time too? When?”
Chong Ming didn’t just toss bait. He built a cage. “Depends on your performance. The better you perform, the more you can bite. Just tell me an hour ahead of time. Or half an hour.”
“I’ll cooperate with you. Besides my neck, you can bite other parts too.”
That cage snapped shut beautifully. He locked Jiang Tea Tea—the demon greedy for his pure yang tonic body—right inside.
Jiang Tea Tea’s voice rose with excitement. “Really? You’re not lying?”
Chong Ming said, “Not lying.”
Jiang Tea Tea was thrilled. A pure yang tonic that cooperative—forget the devil clan. In the whole three realms, there wasn’t another one like it.
She grinned like a crescent moon. “Deal. Whoever lies is a puppy.”
Chong Ming nodded slightly. “Deal. Whoever lies is a puppy.”
Jiang Tea Tea started to shift. “Okay, back to school—”
“Wait.”
Chong Ming didn’t loosen his arm. He lifted his gaze to her head. “Your hair decoration flower bloomed. White petals, yellow stamens. Small. Pretty.”
Jiang Tea Tea’s heart dropped. She reached up fast.
Above her left ear, hidden in her hair, she found a flower.
After touching it, she suddenly realized she was still sitting on Chong Ming’s thigh in an extremely intimate position.
She panicked, scrambling off his lap back into the driver’s seat. She opened the mirror display and checked her head.
Just as Chong Ming said, the flower was white with tiny yellow stamens. It bloomed brightly and carried a fresh scent.
She… she gnawed his meat and drank his blood, and it forced her new bud to bloom?
No. She craved this dragon as food, not romance. Why would she bloom? Was she just too excited about biting and too full from blood?
“The flower is beautiful,” Chong Ming said quietly, golden eyes fixed on her. “It suits you.”
Jiang Tea Tea’s mouth twitched. She shoved open the flyer door like a ghost was chasing her. “I have something to do. I’ll go back myself. The flyer is yours.”
“Jiang Tea Tea…”
Chong Ming had barely said her name when she vanished.
The white-yellow flower that had bloomed so brightly on her head fell onto the driver’s seat.
Chong Ming picked up the flower and brought it to his nose. It smelled clean and fresh, with a hint of chestnut and a faint bitterness.
He got out of the flyer, stored it in his storage button, and tapped his lightbrain twice. A massive warship appeared above him.
He boarded.
Adjutant Ai saw blood on his neck and hurried over. “Commander-in-Chief, you’re injured. Do you need to go to the medical room?”
Chong Ming tilted his head slightly so Adjutant Ai could see better. “This isn’t an injury. This is a mark my pursued person, Jiang Tea Tea, deliberately left.” His gaze slid sideways. “What—doesn’t it look good?”
