Chapter 147
Chapter 147: You Steal and Still Try to Flip It—This Beating Is for You
Smack. Smack. Smack.
One swing of Jiang Tea Tea’s palm.
Three faces.
Three sharp cracks.
Lang Xin Rui, Lang Xin Ping, and Lang Xin Chong staggered, stunned.
Five red finger marks bloomed on each of their cheeks.
A ring of onlookers sucked in a breath.
Some tried to intervene immediately.
“Classmate Jiang Tea Tea—hitting people is one thing, but don’t hit the face.”
“Yeah. They killed bugs last night. They’re school heroes. So are you. This isn’t good.”
“If you do this, they can sue you for assault. It’ll stain your record. That’s bad for your future.”
“Exactly. You’re a 3S-grade mutant plant-type healer. Don’t put a stain on your own record.”
Jiang Tea Tea was famous in the Royal Military Academy. The seven who trained with her had all raised their ability levels.
No one wanted to make her an enemy. At school, they were classmates; outside, they were alumni. One day, when she started officially healing people, they might all end up begging her for help.
Sui Xuan Chu, Cheng Xiao Ting, Cheng Lin Yue, and the others stepped to Jiang Tea Tea’s sides, slipping into ready stances, eyes hard.
The triplets clutched their burning cheeks, humiliation and rage flooding their faces.
Lang Xin Rui screamed, “Jiang Tea Tea! You little bitch! You can’t kill insect clan members yourself, so you can’t stand us doing well! You dare hit school heroes!”
“This is assault! We won’t let you off just because you’re a mutant plant-type healer!”
Lang Xin Ping’s voice shook with fury. “We’re not done with you. We’ll sue you!”
Lang Xin Chong sneered viciously, aiming for the softest spot. “You’re the kind of poisonous thing that can’t stand anyone doing well. No wonder your adoptive parents and your fiancé don’t want you.”
Jiang Tea Tea’s face stayed cold.
She didn’t care.
But inside her, the fake heiress’s leftover consciousness flinched like it had been stabbed—wronged, hurt, stunned.
When she learned her birth parents had more than ten children and abandoned her because she was the only pure human—because they feared she wouldn’t awaken abilities and would embarrass them—she hadn’t hated them. She’d only wanted distance.
She’d thought she could keep to her bridge and they could keep to theirs.
Instead, Jiang Tea Tea—the demon—followed the contract, climbed upward, and still got robbed.
And now they dared to accuse her first, to trample her.
Why?
That leftover consciousness wanted to tear them apart, ruin them, make them taste despair.
Behind Jiang Tea Tea, the seven teammates thought she’d been hurt by the insult.
They surged forward, surrounding the triplets and shouting at the bystanders.
“Thieves! They’re thieves!”
“Everyone listen—these three are thieves. The five bugs in Jin Garden Zone weren’t some heroic fight. They picked up scraps and stole Classmate Jiang Tea Tea’s credit!”
“They call themselves heroes? Have you ever seen heroes this shameless?”
The crowd’s gaze shifted.
The triplets were decent students in the mecha departments—good, not top-tier.
Last night they’d looked feral, dragging five corpses out while bleeding. The school had even called in Old Jin personally to examine and treat them. Their 200,000-star-credit bonuses had already been sent.
Now people stared at them differently.
Lang Xin Rui’s face twisted. “Stop slandering us! If you claim we stole credit, where’s your evidence?”
“We killed those five bugs. We nearly died. We won’t let you smear our honor.”
“We’ll call the police,” Lang Xin Ping said, eyes flashing. “We’ll sue you all for defamation. You’ll pay for our reputation and apologize.”
Jiang Tea Tea didn’t bother arguing.
She reached into her storage button and pulled out a branch staff.
Then she moved.
Her first strike cracked across Lang Xin Chong—the loudest mouth, the nastiest tongue. His uniform split. Skin opened. Blood welled.
Lang Xin Rui and Lang Xin Ping rushed her at once.
Jiang Tea Tea snapped the branch staff around and whipped both of them.
The staff lengthened mid-swing, from just over a meter to nearly a meter and a half, striking cleanly.
Uniforms tore. Skin split. Blood ran.
Pain made them frantic. They tried to gather abilities—
And the moment they did, the wounds flared like dull blades carving flesh.
They froze, faces twisting.
They couldn’t even use their powers properly.
Sui Xuan Chu and the others didn’t need to jump in. Their job was simple: keep the triplets from escaping and keep outsiders from interfering.
Jiang Tea Tea whipped them again and again.
Each strike shredded more fabric and opened more skin.
Ten minutes passed.
Their uniforms hung in tatters. Their bodies were streaked with blood, drops splattering the ground. Their faces went pale as paper.
They huddled together, shaking, half-kneeling, sobbing and calling for their parents.
When Jiang Tea Tea finally stopped, the three of them trembled so hard their teeth rattled.
Lang Xin Rui choked out, “Jiang Tea Tea… you can’t do this. You’re bullying us. You’re crushing us with your strength. We’ll call the police. We’ll call the police!”
Jiang Tea Tea pulled out a stool from her storage button, set it down, and sat with one leg crossed. “Fine. Call.”
“And while you’re at it, call every school leader over here too.”
“You really think because you killed those five bugs in Jin Garden Zone, no one knows I knocked them out first?”
Lang Xin Rui’s finger hovered over her lightbrain screen.
She exchanged a look with the other two.
If Jiang Tea Tea had proof those bugs were sedated… they wouldn’t just lose the bonus. They might lose merit, get punished, even be expelled.
Jiang Tea Tea smiled faintly—cold. “Go on. Call.”
“The corpses are either at the Police Bureau, the Military Department, the Special Operations Bureau, or with Commander-in-Chief Chong Ming.”
“Perfect time to make everyone work overtime. Let them dissect the bugs properly and see what method you used to kill.”
Lang Xin Chong barked, bluffing through clenched teeth. “You think we don’t dare?! We killed them! Even if Commander-in-Chief Chong Ming shows up, he can’t deny those bugs were killed by us!”
Jiang Tea Tea shrugged. “I never denied it. I know you killed them.”
“So call the police. Report that I beat you.”
“Why are you talking so much? If you don’t dare, fine. I’ll call.”
Then she started issuing orders, crisp and efficient.
“Sui Xuan Chu—log into the school intranet. Post about their ‘heroic’ kill. Make sure everyone still in class sees how heroes are made.”
“Yan Yu—call the school leaders. Tell them the bonus money went out too early. Ask them to come over.”
“Cheng Lin Yue—call Old Jin. He treated them last night. He knows exactly what kind of wounds these are.”
“Zhang Ting Zhou, Cheng Xiao Ting, Huang Da Zhuang—watch them. Don’t let them slip away.”
The seven moved instantly, like a practiced unit.
Their momentum shifted the crowd.
More and more students started drifting to Jiang Tea Tea’s side. The triplets’ story suddenly looked thin as paper.
Old Jin received Cheng Lin Yue’s call, and his confusion from last night finally had a target.
Yan Yu’s call went out. The principal’s office, the discipline director’s office, multiple senior colonel district leaders—everyone was notified.
Ju Que started calling department heads and teachers across disciplines, including big shots.
Everyone liked Jiang Tea Tea’s squad. Even those who weren’t brilliant worked hard and respected their teachers.
The teachers heard the gist and came running.
Jiang Tea Tea called the police too. The operator told her officers would arrive within ten minutes.
The Police Bureau officers arrived fastest, only delayed briefly at the gate.
School leadership heard the police had arrived and sped up even more.
The triplets saw the police and immediately flipped into performance mode. Bleeding and sobbing, they pointed at Jiang Tea Tea and screamed, “Officer! Arrest them! They beat us!”
“You can see our wounds! Jiang Tea Tea did this. The other seven are her accomplices!”
“Arrest them! We’re suing for deliberate injury—attempted murder!”
