Chapter 129
Chapter 129: I Wanted to Have Dragon Eggs with You—Lots and Lots of Dragon Eggs
Chong Ming’s golden eyes cut sideways, sharp enough to slice.
Sui Xuan Chu immediately shrank like a scolded dog and slapped a hand over his own mouth.
Chong Ming withdrew his gaze. He pulled out a small tool kit, approached Jiang Tea Tea’s door without a sound, and picked the lock.
The door opened to a narrow crack.
Chong Ming stepped back just as silently, turned off the living-room lights, and sat down on the sofa.
Sui Xuan Chu’s eyes went wide.
So his uncle wasn’t going in.
Not sleeping with her. Not even stepping inside.
He just opened a crack and released his mental power through it.
Pure love, apparently. Pure love and psychic-force soothing.
And his uncle didn’t even tell him to go back to his room first. Didn’t give him an ability shield. Just let him sit there and marinate in that overwhelming pressure.
Sui Xuan Chu lasted less than a minute before sweat broke out. His legs went weak. He stumbled back into his room, slammed the door, and pulled out a mental power blocker.
Even with the blocker, the pressure seeped through the wall like an invisible tide.
And it wasn’t just him feeling it.
The entire building did.
Nearby dorms did.
Within a hundred kilometers, sleeping beastfolk and half beastfolk turned restlessly under their blankets, sensing the oppressive weight of that mental pressure in their dreams.
—
Jiang Tea Tea—whose magic power was only at thirty percent—wasn’t sleeping deeply in an unfamiliar era. The moment her door shifted, even with almost no sound, she woke.
She kept her eyes closed, magic pooling in her palm, ready.
If Old Loach stepped into her room, she’d slap him so hard his ancestors would feel it.
But he didn’t come in.
He only opened a crack—and then mental power poured in through the gap, endless and warm.
Jiang Tea Tea felt like she’d been soaked in spring rain, brushed by a spring wind. Every pore in her body seemed to relax and open.
She felt good.
And the cubs inside her felt even better. They started tumbling and wriggling like nocturnal little monsters.
Jiang Tea Tea turned over, drew a quick spell with her fingers, and covered herself in a layer of magic. She pulled the blanket higher, pressed a hand over her belly, and went back to sleep.
—
After hours of psychic-force soothing, Jiang Tea Tea woke before dawn with bright, clear energy. Her magic power felt like it was rising.
She hummed as she changed into her training uniform, washed up, and left her room at 4:50 a.m.
Sui Xuan Chu wasn’t out yet.
The sky was still dark, and the living-room window was slightly open.
Jiang Tea Tea pushed it wider and looked out.
Black sky. A few distant stars.
Old Loach had left less than ten minutes ago. His warship was fast—already gone without a trace.
She shut the window, knocked on Sui Xuan Chu’s door, and called through it. “It’s 4:52. Get up. Running time.”
Sui Xuan Chu bolted awake, rushed to the door, and immediately looked down at her belly.
“You—you’re running—”
Jiang Tea Tea took one step back and cut him off. “Pull your eyes back into your skull. If it’s time to run, you run. If it’s time to eat, you eat. Move.”
Sui Xuan Chu raised a thumb in awe. “As expected of you, Sister Tea. Two minutes. I’ll be ready.”
With Chong Ming’s overnight soothing on top of her own magic, Jiang Tea Tea felt like she had endless strength.
Running was nothing.
She used to jog twenty kilometers in ninety minutes, slow and casual.
Today she ran fifty kilometers in ninety minutes.
Her speed left afterimages.
Beastfolk and half beastfolk on the field stared in disbelief, mouths hanging open.
Sui Xuan Chu and Cheng Lin Yue—the only two people here who knew what she was carrying—looked like their souls were leaving their bodies.
They tried to keep up.
They couldn’t. Not even close.
When Jiang Tea Tea finished, the field erupted in applause.
“Classmate Jiang Tea Tea, that’s insane!”
“Fifty kilometers in ninety minutes—are you even human?”
“You’re the strongest pure human woman I’ve ever seen.”
Jiang Tea Tea smiled and waved it off. “Thanks. I’ll check for other abilities when I have time. I’m going to breakfast.”
She called out, “Huang Da Zhuang, Cheng Lin Yue—let’s go.”
They answered instantly, “Coming, Sister Tea!”
The eight-person squad jogged off together, drawing envy from the others.
“Damn. If I’d known first place at the 30-School Military Academy Championship came with this kind of momentum, I would’ve fought to be on that team.”
“Seriously. Ever since they came back, they’ve been put on special training. Each person’s taking five to eight courses. Three months straight with only three rest days. Their worst grades are still Bs.”
“And that guy from the Pacification Department, Huang Da Zhuang—he had no ability. But he awakened two days ago. Dual-type too. Smell and speed, I heard.”
“Yeah, Jin Lao from the Medical Department examined him and was so happy he couldn’t stop smiling. He said he wants to study him as a case to help more unawakened beastfolk and half beastfolk.”
“Study him? If he awakened, it’s because of Jiang Tea Tea. She’s the mutant 3S-rank plant-type healer.”
Someone else chimed in, hushed with awe. “I heard she calmed backlash and combed their mind seas for seven people. After that, some awakened abilities, some leveled up, some climbed half a level.”
“So she benefited them seven times.”
Another voice, greedy with possibility. “What if we pool money and apply to the principal? Pay her to calm our backlash and comb our mind seas too?”
“That’s… actually not a bad idea.”
“But their squad is reportedly very important to Commander-in-Chief Chong Ming.”
“So what? We’re not asking her to work for free. If our levels rise, we’ll serve the country better.”
“Let’s apply after breakfast.”
—
Breakfast in the cafeteria was noticeably different.
More variety. Better flavor. Even higher-grade ingredients.
Even the nutrient fruit—something that used to cost money—was piled in baskets for free.
Jiang Tea Tea had lived broke for months. Free food was sacred.
She grabbed two huge baskets—nearly fifty pounds—and stuffed them into her storage button without shame.
Sui Xuan Chu chewed his breakfast with a dark expression.
His uncle was biased. He’d practically dragged imperial palace cooks in to make breakfast.
The favoritism was disgusting.
Huang Da Zhuang ate like a starving beast, eyes shining. “Sister Tea! This is so good. Try this—so fresh!”
Zhang Ting Zhou, an octopus beastfolk, nodded hard. “The shrimp in this bun tastes like it came out of the ocean an hour ago. I can’t believe this is cafeteria food!”
Cheng Lin Yue held a beef bun, amazed. “This is so tender and juicy. Did the cafeteria change head chef?”
They inhaled breakfast and rushed to class.
Their training that day was in a closed weapons range—advanced firearms, assembly, disassembly, shooting. Everything from heavy launchers to machine guns to compressed-air guns.
They even ate lunch there—two tubes of nutrient solution each—then had a half-hour break.
The execution livestream started during the break.
Jiang Yi Cheng and Jiang Yi Zhu’s crimes were too severe. The moment the broadcast began, hundreds of millions flooded in.
The siblings were dragged out of the Ministry of Justice in prison uniforms, wrists and ankles cuffed, gags in their mouths, escorted by heavy security toward the execution ground.
The comments flew:
“Who gave them the guts? One released an aberrant beast in school, framed others, tried to murder Commander-in-Chief Chong Ming. The other colluded with the insect clan and tried to abduct the crown prince at the 30-School Military Academy Championship!”
“Honestly, with evidence this solid, they should’ve been executed on the spot.”
“On the spot is too merciful. Traitors deserve to die in front of everyone. Let the world see what happens when you collude with the insect clan and target the imperial family.”
Jiang Tea Tea watched without blinking.
Not because she cared.
Because the fake heiress’s leftover consciousness in her body cared.
To that leftover mind, Jiang Yi Cheng and Jiang Yi Zhu were the two people she’d wanted dead most. Seeing them dragged to execution was a feast.
—
Across the city, Insect Clan Crown Princess Asais stared at Chong Ming in disbelief.
“Commander-in-Chief Chong Ming,” she said sharply, “your country’s two traitorous children are being executed. Why are you showing me this?”
Asais had expected he’d meet her at noon with her imperial elder brother.
Instead, he brought her to watch a livestream of someone else’s execution.
Chong Ming sat in the main seat in black uniform, buttons fastened up to his throat—cold, disciplined, unshakable.
His gaze didn’t waver. “I’m showing you an execution.”
Asais’s eyes narrowed. “I didn’t tell them to betray your country. Watching them die doesn’t mean anything to me.”
Chong Ming’s voice stayed flat. “It means a great deal.”
“And if possible,” he added, “I hope your insect clan rebroadcasts it.”
Asais stood and leaned toward him, fury flickering. “Your citizens defecting is not a glorious matter. You want us to broadcast it? Are you not embarrassed enough?”
Chong Ming answered without a trace of emotion. “What is there to be embarrassed about?”
“A forest has worms. That’s normal.”
“You remove the worms, hang them high, and show the rest what happens.” His eyes chilled. “That isn’t shame. That’s deterrence.”
“And when I removed these worms, I also crushed over a dozen insects… and captured a king insect.”
“That isn’t shame.” His lips curved slightly. “That’s profit.”
Asais walked closer and planted both hands on the table, leaning down until her chest threatened to spill out of her dress. Her gold eyes—crafted to mirror his—glimmered with calculated seduction.
Her voice turned soft, sweet, and intimate.
“Killing dozens of insects and capturing my imperial elder brother isn’t profit.”
She leaned closer, breath nearly touching his face. “You want real profit?”
“You are Zhen Lin Empire’s Commander-in-Chief and Prince Regent.”
“I am the Insect Clan Crown Princess.”
“You’re single. I have no primary consort.”
She smiled, slow and hungry. “Become my primary consort. I’ll become your prince regent consort.”
“We’ll join forces. We’ll divide the entire M31 Star System. Every planet will fall under our hands.”
“And then,” Asais purred, “I’ll bear you dragon eggs—lots and lots of dragon eggs.”
“I’ll make your gold dragon clan flourish.”
“That’s what I call profit.”
