Chapter 106
Chapter 106: They Lost It—Just Hearing “Husband” Made Them Go Crazy Over the Study Plan
Chong Ming returned her smile, faint but real. “Living where others can’t reach, making them regret it day and night—that’s a good idea. I believe you can do it.”
Jiang Tea Tea’s grin flipped instantly into bargaining. “Telling me to ‘go for it’ is useless. How about some real benefits? Delete half of my study plan.”
Chong Ming refused without mercy. “No.”
Jiang Tea Tea huffed. “If you won’t show any real action, what kind of ‘go for it’ are you giving me?”
He raised a brow. “Then I’ll add more to your plan. Is that real enough?”
“Don’t. Goodbye.” Jiang Tea Tea tossed the words like a knife and walked off without looking back.
Chong Ming watched her leave.
The warship pulled up its ramp, rose into the sky, circled Royal Military Academy three times, then cloaked and vanished.
Secretary Wen walked beside Chong Ming and reported, “Commander-in-Chief, Atuya, the Insect Clan general, has requested another meeting.”
“Tell her five days,” Chong Ming said. “If her terms don’t satisfy me, I’ll send her away. Agris, Your Highness, can continue enjoying our hospitality in Zhen Lin Empire.”
“Yes, Commander-in-Chief,” Secretary Wen answered.
Chong Ming continued, “Move three of the six satellites tracking the Crown Prince. Put them on Jiang Tea Tea.”
“Notify all monitoring and protection staff. Jiang Tea Tea will receive the same security system level as the Crown Prince.”
Secretary Wen hesitated. “Commander-in-Chief… do we need to notify her personally that three satellites will be aimed at her, tracking her movements?”
“Notify her,” Chong Ming said. “But wait two hours before doing so.”
“Yes, Commander-in-Chief.”
*
Back on campus, Jiang Tea Tea and Sui Xuan Chu and the others were greeted by thunderous applause from the entire Royal Military Academy.
Their team had taken individual first through eighth, plus squad first—scores so dominant it put the academy above all the others.
Principal Wu practically walked with wind at his back, chest puffed out in front of the other principals.
To reward them, he praised all eight publicly and handed out star-credit bonuses.
Jiang Tea Tea received two hundred thousand star credits. The other seven each received one hundred thousand. Their photos were posted on the academy’s promotional boards.
To celebrate the academy taking first place among thirty schools, the school declared a one-day holiday. Classes would resume tomorrow.
Students erupted in cheers. The huge field boiled with noise. Some students even shifted into beast forms and howled at the sky.
Principal Wu approached Jiang Tea Tea with the rest of the leadership and offered congratulations. “Congratulations, Jiang Tea Tea. You’re excellent. Your squad is excellent.”
Jiang Tea Tea answered evenly, “I didn’t lead the squad. The captain is Sui Xuan Chu. The vice-captain is Cheng Xiao Ting.”
Principal Wu blinked, then nodded repeatedly. “Right, right. All excellent cadets. I hope you keep working hard, keep improving—for yourselves, your families, your school. Create more glory.”
Jiang Tea Tea nodded. “We will. If there’s nothing else, we’re going back to rest. Thank you for the bonus.”
Principal Wu hurried to add, “Eat first before you rest. Don’t go hungry.”
“Okay.” Jiang Tea Tea called to her seven teammates, and the eight of them left together.
As Principal Wu watched them go, the vice principal leaned over. “Principal, Jiang Tea Tea’s mutant plant-type psychic power is unique. The teacher currently assigned to her can’t teach her anymore. What’s the plan?”
Principal Wu’s expression turned firm. He’d already received instructions from Chong Ming. “Plan? Isn’t it already arranged?”
The vice principal hesitated. “I mean… her mutant plant-type psychic power is one of a kind. Should we establish a healing and untangling department centered around her?”
“It would benefit our school, other schools… even high-status ability users in society.”
Principal Wu’s face sank. “Old Dou, you missed the faculty meeting a few days ago. I don’t blame you.”
“But you need to read the meeting notes I sent you. Then think very carefully about whether you still want to ‘establish a department centered around Jiang Tea Tea.’”
Old Dou’s instincts screamed that he’d stepped on a landmine. He nodded quickly. “Understood. I’ll read it right away.”
Principal Wu left with the other leadership.
Meanwhile, seventy thousand students now knew: Jiang Tea Tea had awakened 3S-rank mutant plant-type psychic power, and she was officially certified.
As she walked across the field with her team, students made way, smiling brightly and calling out.
“Junior Jiang Tea Tea, congratulations!”
“Junior, when you have time, spar with us! We’ve never seen mutant plant-type abilities!”
“Junior, I heard you can make dead wood bloom again. Let us see!”
Others were more blunt.
“Junior, if you’re short on spending money, when you open treatment sessions, let me know. Just don’t charge too much… I can afford a few thousand or ten thousand per session. More than that, I can’t.”
Then someone stepped forward with a smile full of entitlement.
“I recognize you, Jiang Tea Tea. Your ability is officially recognized by the government and the Commander-in-Chief. I recognize you too.”
“It’s a holiday. You have time. Treat me.”
“Price? Name it.”
Jiang Tea Tea had been smiling politely at the friendly ones. Now she stopped and looked at the speaker.
Her seven teammates halted with her.
The wolf clan male flashed what he clearly thought was a charming grin.
Huang Da Zhuang stepped forward and whispered like a helpful gossip source. “Sister Tea, that’s Lang Yue Ye—third-year, Command Department. Wolf clan male, 3S-rank wind ability. He’s supposedly a distant cousin of Cheng Xiao Ting.”
Jiang Tea Tea glanced at Cheng Xiao Ting. “Your cousin?”
Cheng Xiao Ting spat. “Spit. Who’s his cousin? My wolf species is huge. I don’t have a cousin like that—posing and acting like he owns the place.”
Lang Yue Ye ignored Cheng Xiao Ting and spoke to Jiang Tea Tea. “Jiang Tea Tea, you’re excellent. Your squad is excellent. But there are wolves in your squad with bad character. Next time, choose better.”
Jiang Tea Tea said flatly, “One billion.”
Lang Yue Ye blinked. “What?”
“You said I could name any price,” Jiang Tea Tea replied. “One billion star credits.”
She watched his expression crack in real time.
He exploded, “One billion? Why don’t you—”
“I am robbing you,” Jiang Tea Tea cut in brightly, voice ringing loud. “I’m robbing you right now. If you’re willing to let me rob you, I’ll calm your backlash, soothe your mind sea, and raise your 3S ability to 4S.”
“If you’re not willing, then you’re just farting in my direction.”
Cheng Xiao Ting tilted his head, grinning. “Sister Tea, just treat him like he’s farting. He doesn’t even get more allowance than I do.”
Jiang Tea Tea laughed. “He’s poorer than you? Cheng Xiao Ting, you’re rich, and you still want to freeload my mind sea soothing. You’re so evil.”
Cheng Xiao Ting played along without missing a beat. “I want to freeload because I’m shameless, but at least I know it. Unlike some wolves who can’t pull two coins from their pockets and still think everyone else is stupid.”
Lang Yue Ye’s face went red with rage.
Jiang Tea Tea turned to the crowd, raising her voice.
“Everyone, I know you all want your ability ranks to rise. I know you suffer ability backlash and mind sea blockage. You want me to charge as little as possible—or treat you for free.”
“I’d love to charge less. I’d love to treat you for free.”
“But I’ve only had this ability for less than four months. I’m not skilled at controlling it yet.”
“On the Commander-in-Chief’s ship, I used a massive amount of mental power to treat his bodyguard troops. I don’t have extra mental power right now to treat you.”
“Please let me rest. Let me study. When I’ve recovered and learned more, I’ll post a detailed pricing plan and treatment process on the school forum. Thank you, classmates.”
The atmosphere softened. Students nodded and comforted her, then turned their criticism on Lang Yue Ye.
“It’s fine, Junior. Our backlash isn’t bad. Focus on resting and studying.”
“Lang Yue Ye, calm down. Stop acting like you’re in some drama.”
“Yeah—‘name any price’? Bro, you don’t have that kind of money.”
Jiang Tea Tea smiled, then left. Her team hurried after her.
They reached the point where they had to split—each belonged to different departments and dorm buildings.
That was when Cheng Lin Yue, Cheng Xiao Ting, Ju Que, Huang Da Zhuang, and the other two all received a message at once.
They opened it, stared… then screamed like someone had detonated a bomb.
Jiang Tea Tea and Sui Xuan Chu jumped. “What? What are you doing? Have you lost your minds?”
The six yelled in unison, “We received a study plan table distributed by the school!”
Jiang Tea Tea and Sui Xuan Chu exchanged a look and, putting on an act, opened their own Lightbrains and pulled up their “study plan” too.
“You mean this?” Jiang Tea Tea asked.
The six nodded violently. “Yes! Exactly! Word for word!”
“Holy—this plan doesn’t treat us like people. It treats us like Insect Clan!”
“I used to study three to five hours a day. Now I can’t finish even if I study twelve!”
Jiang Tea Tea’s mouth twitched.
Old Loach really did love to drag others down with him. He’d used her as bait to impose a brutal schedule on her, dragged Sui Xuan Chu into it, and to keep them from looking too special, dragged the other six along too.
Truly thoughtful.
Truly considerate.
Truly worthy of a demon’s thanks.
Cheng Xiao Ting narrowed his eyes, spotting something. “Wait. Your study plan shows a different time of receipt than ours.”
“And the sender’s number isn’t the school’s number. Talk. What did you two do behind our backs?”
Jiang Tea Tea shut her projection before Sui Xuan Chu could speak. Sui spoke first, desperate to survive.
“Why are you asking me? Ask Sister Tea. I’m collateral damage.”
Six pairs of eyes turned on Jiang Tea Tea, wide as lanterns.
Jiang Tea Tea cleared her throat. “Don’t look at me like that. This schedule was personally made by your idol—the husband you all scream about wanting to marry—Chong Ming, the Commander-in-Chief.”
The six made a series of shrieks so intense they sounded like dying animals.
“What?! My male idol personally made this?”
“My husband made my study plan—Beast God above! Even if he makes me study twenty-four hours without sleep, I’ll do it to impress him!”
