As the voice faded, Grand Eunuch Sun Chang Yu descended gracefully from the sky, landing softly upon the corridor.
He glanced briefly at Li Mu Sheng, then turned his attention toward the young man in scholarly robes, carefully inspecting him.

Sun Chang Yu glanced at Li Mu Sheng, hearing the subtle mockery in his tone, and felt a flicker of irritation. Yet, he said nothing and refocused on the frenzied young scholar.
“We need to stop him quickly. Otherwise, his mind will collapse, and he’ll die.”

His brows furrowed deeper. After repeated attempts with no success, Little Anzi grew confused. He remembered Li Mu Sheng’s quick sealing move earlier, which hadn’t seemed complicated. Yet, Eunuch Sun was struggling, sweating anxiously.
Li Mu Sheng glanced at Sun Chang Yu and said lightly, “Stop trying. How about the matter I mentioned earlier?”
Sun Chang Yu was startled, suddenly recalling the main issue. Turning toward Li Mu Sheng solemnly, he replied respectfully:
“The queen has agreed to your request. This humble servant will escort you to the Heavenly Brocade Guard headquarters, where the Commander and Chief Steward, Eunuch Shen, will personally verify your identity.”
Li Mu Sheng nodded lightly, “Then what are we waiting for? Let’s go immediately.”
Sun Chang Yu inclined his head slightly but hesitated, pointing again at the young scholar, “Could Young Master Li please first undo your sealing technique? If the Heavenly Brocade Guard cannot locate the demon cultist, we might still find clues through him.”
However, just as he spoke, Little Anzi interrupted in confusion, “Eunuch Sun, didn’t you just undo the seal?”
Sun Chang Yu frowned, preparing to scold him, but suddenly noticed the scholar’s acupoints were indeed unsealed. The young man now spasmed uncontrollably, foam leaking from his mouth.
“When did this humble servant release his seal? I don’t remember doing that at all!” Sun Chang Yu said in astonishment.
Little Anzi hastily responded, “Eunuch, you released his points right when Young Master Li was speaking. I clearly saw it!”
“Is that so?” Sun Chang Yu murmured uncertainly, drawing a sharp breath. Yet he vividly remembered failing utterly against that Qi current.
Li Mu Sheng interrupted calmly, “Can we leave now?”
Sun Chang Yu snapped back, casting a deep, thoughtful glance at Li Mu Sheng. He nodded slowly, “Please follow this humble servant.”
He instructed Little Anzi to handle the young scholar, then led Li Mu Sheng out of Aurora Pavilion and into an armored carriage, guarded by armored soldiers, swiftly heading toward the Heavenly Brocade Guard headquarters.

She had barely stepped outside the gates when an old crone appeared silently, blocking her path.
“Second Young Lady, the marquis is furious that you openly rejected the marriage he arranged for you in front of everyone at Six Gates. He sent me to bring you home,” said the old crone harshly, not waiting for her response.
Immediately, she grasped Cang Yin Yue with strands of eerie, chilling Qi, restraining her movements, and forcibly dragged her into a waiting carriage. The coachman quickly drove toward Marquis Cang Yuan’s mansion.
Half an hour later, the carriage halted at the mansion gates. The old crone once again carried Cang Yin Yue as though she were a helpless chick, walking into the heavily guarded marquis’ residence.
Cang Yin Yue’s eyes were icy, silently vowing revenge for this humiliation. Yet, she said nothing and instead revealed a glimmer of anticipation.
