“Are you serious?”
Zhang Da Zhuang felt unsure, half-believing and half-doubting. Still, out of deep trust for Li Mu Sheng, he joyfully tucked the papers carefully into his chest.
“The Yu Family Martial Hall is full of troubles now. Brother Zhang, you’d best leave quickly and find a new path to avoid getting caught in any misfortune.”
Li Mu Sheng offered his warning seriously and bowed respectfully to Zhang Da Zhuang, a rare gesture from him.
“You’ve cared for me greatly over the years, Brother Zhang. If fate allows, we shall meet again someday!”
After speaking, he showed no hesitation. Slinging his bundle onto his back, he turned and strode out of the martial hall.
Zhang Da Zhuang reached out, trying to say something, but the words caught in his throat. In the end, he silently cupped his fists toward Li Mu Sheng’s departing figure.
Times had changed. Li Mu Sheng’s martial arts had become extraordinary, and tiny Shun’an City could no longer hold him. Besides, young people ought to venture into the Martial World while youth still graced them!

However, he did not yet depart, instead turning his attention downward to a shadowed spot below the city wall.
“You’ve been following me for quite a while now. Isn’t it time you stepped out and said hello?”
Below was only shadowed silence beneath the trees. Other than occasional gusts of wind, all was quiet.
After a moment, a slim figure silently emerged from the darkness beneath the wall.
She was a woman in simple grey-green martial attire, slender and graceful, her face concealed by a veil.
She looked up at Li Mu Sheng on the wall, silent for a moment, before finally speaking,
“When did you notice me?”
With arms folded, Li Mu Sheng smiled faintly, counting lightly on his fingers.
“Considering the time, you’ve followed me for five days. Actually, I noticed you from the first day. I just didn’t say anything.”
Upon hearing this, the woman’s lovely phoenix eyes narrowed slightly, though she remained silent.
Li Mu Sheng didn’t mind, calmly regarding her as he spoke again.
“I sense no hostility from you, yet you’ve stubbornly trailed me all this way…”
He stroked his chin thoughtfully, smiling playfully,
“Could it be, young lady, that you’ve developed an interest in me? Is that why you’re following me so persistently?”
