Dragon Head Supreme Chapter 19

Chapter 19: A Desperate Battle

Chen Xue Wen’s pre-prepared sunglasses proved to be useful, at least in blocking the lime powder.

Moreover, he had coated his entire body with oil beforehand, even covering his face and eyes. Since lime powder could be wiped off with oil, he remained unaffected.

On the other hand, the bodyguards, caught off guard, had their eyes burned by the lime powder and were rendered blind to their surroundings. Adding to the chaos, the floor was slick with oil, causing many of them to slip and fall. The scene was utter mayhem.

Seizing the moment when the bodyguards were forced to shut their eyes, Chen Xue Wen dashed into the crowd.

The first to bear the brunt were two bodyguards, desperately rubbing their eyes as the lime powder, mixed with their tears, burned their vision unbearably. Their focus was entirely on their pain, leaving them defenseless.

Chen Xue Wen wasted no time. With a bone-cutting knife in each hand, he swiftly slit their throats. The two collapsed to the ground, blood spurting from their severed arteries, painting a gruesome picture.

But Chen Xue Wen did not stop. He pressed forward towards his next target.

From a distance, Zhou Wan Cheng stood untouched by the lime powder, watching in horror as his men fell into disarray. Seeing two of his bodyguards slaughtered in an instant, he panicked and shouted:

“Oi! Stop worrying about your eyes! Stop him now!”

“Don’t let him near you! If you do, you’re dead!”

The bodyguards, hearing their comrades’ screams, realized something was wrong. But blinded by lime powder, they could only swing their machetes wildly in an attempt to defend themselves.

This only worsened the chaos. Their blind flailing ended up injuring their own allies. Some were accidentally slashed by their comrades, deepening the confusion.

Moving low to the ground, Chen Xue Wen weaved through the bodies, expertly wielding his bone-cutting knives. In a matter of moments, three more had their throats slit.

With six bodyguards now lying in pools of their own blood, half of them already dead, survival was unlikely for the rest unless they received immediate medical aid.

Chen Xue Wen’s strikes were merciless.

These men had a hand in the deaths of his parents. He held no intention of showing them any mercy.

Zhou Wan Cheng watched helplessly as his men were cut down, his face growing paler with each passing moment.

If this continued, all his men would be dead at Chen Xue Wen’s hands.

And if Chen Xue Wen finished them off, there was no doubt he would come for Zhou Wan Cheng next.

Desperate, Zhou Wan Cheng scanned the room and spotted the liquor cabinet. His mind sparked with an idea.

He quickly signaled to Zhou Hao, “Hao! The liquor cabinet!”

Realizing his father’s intent, Zhou Hao sprinted towards it, aiming to use the foreign liquor to wash the lime powder from the bodyguards’ eyes.

However, Wu Li Hong lunged forward, tackling Zhou Hao to the ground.

Zhou Hao was shocked that this woman dared to interfere.

He threw a punch at Wu Li Hong’s face, cursing, “Bitch! Let go of me!”

Blood trickled from Wu Li Hong’s nose and mouth, but she refused to release her grip. She clung onto Zhou Hao with all her might, determined to keep him away from the liquor cabinet.

Furious, Zhou Hao struggled violently, kicking and punching Wu Li Hong repeatedly. Yet she refused to yield, forcing him to drag her along as he moved towards the liquor cabinet.

Meanwhile, Zhou Wan Cheng also rushed towards the liquor cabinet.

But Li Er Yong, despite his injuries, hopped forward on one leg and tackled Zhou Wan Cheng, preventing him from reaching it.

On Chen Xue Wen’s end, though he had killed several bodyguards, he wasn’t unscathed.

Though most slashes against him slid off his oiled leather jacket, and his cowhide armor absorbed multiple blows, his head was unprotected.

A stray machete struck his forehead, splitting the skin open, and blood poured down, blinding half his vision. The impact sent dizziness through him.

Gritting his teeth, Chen Xue Wen wiped the blood from his face and retaliated instantly, slicing the attacker’s throat.

Yet, the tides were shifting.

Despite their injuries, Zhou Hao finally managed to reach the liquor cabinet, pried open a bottle of foreign liquor, and tossed it to one of the bodyguards, yelling, “Catch!”

The bottle struck the bodyguard, but he reacted swiftly, grabbing it midair.

Without hesitation, he doused his face with foreign liquor, washing away the lime powder. Though his eyes still burned, he could now see.

The bodyguard wiped his face, then handed the bottle to another. “Wash your eyes! I’ll take care of this bastard!”

Snarling, he charged at Chen Xue Wen.

Another bodyguard followed suit, clearing his eyes.

Meanwhile, the first bodyguard lunged at Chen Xue Wen, tackling him to the ground.

Seeing this, Zhou Hao and Zhou Wan Cheng exhaled in relief.

Their bodyguards were either ex-military or martial artists. Once they could see again, dealing with one man—even someone as fierce as Chen Xue Wen—would be easy.

Out of the fifteen bodyguards, ten had already been slain.

Of the remaining five, two were injured by friendly fire and had lost most of their combat ability. But the final three were still dangerous, and that was enough to finish Chen Xue Wen.

Zhou Hao gritted his teeth, “Don’t kill him so fast! Break his arms and legs first—I want him to suffer!”

Turning his gaze to Wu Li Hong, he sneered, “Bitch, you dare help him?”

“You’ll learn soon what happens when you cross me!”

Enraged, he grabbed a liquor bottle and smashed it over Wu Li Hong’s head.

The bottle shattered, blood spilling from her scalp as she collapsed in a daze. Watching Chen Xue Wen struggle under the bodyguard’s grip, despair filled her eyes.

Just moments ago, she thought they had a chance.

But now, it seemed both of them were doomed to die.

On the other side, Li Er Yong was also restrained by Zhou Wan Cheng.

Despite his pain, he roared, “Xue Wen! You did well!”

“Damn it, kill one and break even, kill two and you profit!”

Pinned to the ground, his arm twisted behind him, Chen Xue Wen struggled violently. The bodyguard’s knee dug into his back, keeping him locked in place.

But Chen Xue Wen’s entire body was slick with oil.

With a powerful twist, he freed one hand, gripping his bone-cutting knife and stabbing it deep into the bodyguard’s thigh.

The bodyguard howled in agony and instinctively punched Chen Xue Wen in the head.

Dazed, Chen Xue Wen fought through the dizziness and twisted the bone-cutting knife, slicing through the muscle. With a forceful roll, he flipped the bodyguard over.

Reacting fast, the bodyguard grabbed Chen Xue Wen’s leg, attempting to regain control.

But Chen Xue Wen was faster. With his free hand, he plunged his bone-cutting knife into the man’s temple, silencing him instantly.

However, the remaining two bodyguards had now regained their sight. They moved in from both sides, weapons gleaming coldly.

Zhou Hao, sensing victory, screamed, “Kill him! Kill him now!”

Wu Li Hong and Li Er Yong could only watch in despair.

Two highly trained bodyguards, with no more hesitation, advanced with murderous intent.

Was this the end for Chen Xue Wen?
