Overturning the Heavens chapter 1796

Chapter 1796 “Yun Feng’s Peril (2)”

After overhearing parts of the conversation from Gu Lao, Elder Butterfly attitude got all mocking: “You think the monarch would give special treatment to anyone? If you do then I’m afraid to tell you that you’re wrong, otherwise you would’ve long become the monarch’s wife.”

In other words, you, the so-called benefactor of Heavenly was no more important than the rest of us. Therefore, Bai Yan and her mother wouldn’t be able to ascend onto the great throne either as the man’s wife.

What’s more, since Bai Yan has a daughter, it proves that she has a husband.

The same was true of Bai Yan’s mother.

And regarding Ling Yan’s motive, that’s not even in the equation since she’s so young and innocent. Anything was no doubt Gu Ya’s self conceited imagination.

“Elder Butterfly, don’t you think you’re going too far?” Gu Lao could not take it anymore after those remarks: “Our miss only wants to help out of concern, yet Fifth Elder and Elder Sky won’t even let her follow so what can she do? What’s more, how is it fair that those two ladies can follow while we can’t? Don’t you think that’s unfair and biased?”

That actually made Butterfly laugh.

She has had no favorable opinion of Gu Ya ever since she overheard their conversation regarding the monarch’s recovery. Before she didn’t pursue the matter due to her loyalty, after all, the most important thing was Heavenly’s return. It doesn’t matter who actually carried out the mission, but now, things are different. After hearing Gu Lao’s thoughts, this female elder only found it ridiculous and laughable.

“Gu Lao, I guess you arrived too late to know the whole situation regarding Song’s recovery.”

The old senior made a surprised face there. He obviously didn’t hear the whole story. This was especially true regarding that sickly child.

“And…” Butterfly narrowed in her eyes, “the one who healed Song is none other than Mrs. Di, Ling Yan’s own mother.”

Taking a few steps forward, she puts on a overbearing attitude, “So, by virtue of her skills alone, do you think she’s qualified to follow Elder Sky and Fifth Elder or not? Or do you believe Gu Ya is better than her?”

It’s then Song also decides to chime in with a huffing grunt: “Mrs. Di is the most incredible, how can Gu Ya compare?”

In particular, she actually framed Mrs. Di in front of Grandfather! So hateful!

Gu Ya’s face got a little whiter without blood showing. She’s trembling on the lips, which indicated she’s without rebut. However, right as Gu Lao’s about to speak in her defense again, the lady couldn’t keep quiet: “It’s okay Gu Lao, you don’t need to speak on my behalf! It’s no use here, they’re all set on thinking I’m only acting with ulterior motive.”

“Miss…” Gu Lao looked at her with pain.

The miss only loves Heavenly to death, anything she does, it’s for him and him alone.

So……

What’s wrong with that?

“Enough, there’s nothing more to say, we’re going back.” Gu Ya bites her lip when facing Butterfly, “I have nothing to ask of the monarch, I only hope you can inform me once Heavenly’s back. As long as I can see him back safely then I am satisfied.”

Despite the sneer on Butterfly’s face, the female elder nevertheless nodded in agreement: “You can go back now, I know you have your own eyes here so why ask me to inform you? Leave, I don’t want to continue this conversation anymore.”
