Miracle doctor chapter 04

Chapter 4 “Miraculous Space”

It’s unsure how long Ling Yue had slept for, but the constant itch to her nose was annoying enough to eventually wake her. Opening those eyes, what came into view was no longer the bed in which she should be, nor was the little shack that housed her family.

She didn’t know where she was at the moment. Everything simply looked like a hazy field of white no matter where she turned to. Then looking down to her hands after realizing something was missing, the girl soon discovered something strange. Instead of being in her possession, the Vitality Condensing Grass given to her was now firmly planted into the fertile soil next to herself.

Ling Yue remembers it well. When her mother handed the plant over prior to her nap, the thing was already yellow and wilted. But now, it’s strong and vibrantly green, the color of a plant brimming with life.

Understanding she couldn’t continue like this, Ling Yue began to search for clues. The first answer came in the form a brownish slab of rock not too far away. Engraved on the thing was the name: Red Mist Sky.

Based on the level of depth and width, it’s likely the characters were all engraved by someone’s fingertip!

As much as she would like to investigate further on who could’ve done such an amazing deed, the girl knew it’s pointless. If there’s someone around then they would’ve found her by now.

Besides, after few more minutes of investigation, it soon dawned on her that she’s limited to only one Li in space to move around. if she tried to go any further, the white mist surrounding the area would block off the path.

(chinese metric 1 Li equals 500 meters)

“Ling Yue, its morning, time to get up to train~”

Reacting to the echoing call beside her ear, Ling Yue promptly found herself gone from that magical place in the next second. Just that when her figure did so though, a strange and mysterious pair of blue eyes had appeared from behind the mist.

Something’s been spying on her the entire time!

Awake now and fully back in familiar grounds – the bed and the small shack – she quickly remembered today was supposed to be her first lesson with her mother.

Three days later…

By the time the first ray of the morning light had sliced through the numerous branches of the tree here, a thin figure was already hard at work making lapse around the northern manor of the Ye House.

The girl’s been running for the past hour with many bags of iron sand strapped to her ankle, making the ordeal all that much harder.

Ye Huang Yu may be a doting mother at heart, but she’s even harsher as a tutor. Not only did she not wait as soon as it became apparent her daughter wanted to learn martial art, she also went through the trouble of making it extra difficult and strict.

For one, the girl must jog and meditate for an hour each during sunrise and sunset. The reasoning for this requirement was to take advantage of the increased level of Yuan energy in the air.

In truth, this wasn’t anything extreme if it was demanded of a healthy young girl, but Ling Yue unfortunately fell into the emaciated category. The high-intensity exercise should’ve tired her out on the very first day, but like her mother, the girl’s character refuses to allow failure.

Following the completion of the first part of her regime, the next exercise was the meditation part. Finding a comfortable spot under the big tree in the yard, Ling Yue crosses her legs and got straight to it.

Ye Huang Yu demanded she run for an hour during sunrise and sunset, so she did and more by doubling the lengthy duration to two hours.

Although her memory’s not so clear yet as to why she’s able to regain her sanity, Ling Yu could vaguely take a guess it had something to do with that pill she ingested by mistake.

In addition, the remaining effects lingering inside her veins has allowed her to gain exceptional results from her exercises. For that reason, the harder she pushed herself, the faster her body would absorb the residual effects.

Swoosh

Swoosh

Swoosh

Like countless gaping holes, Ling Yue’s mouth, nose and pores as well, were greedily absorbing the Yuan energy around in the air.

Ye Huang Yu wasn’t far, she’s been secretly observing her daughter’s progress during the past few days in secret.

The woman honestly believed the request was nothing but a momentary fad made by a child at the time, but after watching the unrelenting will and progress displayed by the girl, she couldn’t say that anymore. She knew it’s for real….

This child truly wishes to practice martial art. A complex emotion lingers in the woman’s eye.

Ye Huang Yu knows her daughter’s temperament well. With a tenacious personality, the same as herself, this mother worries this might turn out to be a disaster in disguise instead of a blessing.

But the negative outlook didn’t take long to change. It was then, at that moment when her eyes caught sight of something amazing. From the meditating girl’s body, a thin layer of lustering glow exuded out of the skin.

She recognizes it well. That red copper color meant the strengthening of one’s skin and the sign of someone breaking into the second level of the constitution domain of a cultivator!

For anyone aspiring to become a martialist, the first hurdle confronting these individuals was the nine levels within the entry stage, also known as the Constitution Domain that strengthened the various physical parts of the human body.

Ye Huang Yu could still take her daughters feat of reaching the first level several days ago as a fluke, but to advance into the second level within a span of three days? Now that’s no fluke, that’s definitely inherent talent!

Ling Yue herself would of course be unaware of the astounding shock running through her mother’s heart right now, she’s far too preoccupied with consuming the last bit of medicinal effect in her veins.

“Why do I feel like the Yuan energy in my dantian has become even more abundant?” Ling Yue mumbles to herself after opening her eyes.

“Sweetie, that’s because you just broke through to the second level of the constitution domain.” Ye Huang Yu smilingly walked over.

“Mother! I want you to teach me the same skill Ye Qing used that day when I fought him. The punch that gave off various sparks of electricity.” Taking advantage of her mother’s joyous mood, Ling Yue uses the opportunity to ask for it.

Aside from being a girl, Ye Ling Yue was also a vindictive person that loves to hold a grudge. Regarding Ye Qing’s debt, she has every intention to personally return the favor.

“Oh you silly child, you just learned how to walk and you are already dreaming about running. The skill Ye Qing used is one of our Ye family’s fundamental technique called the Lightning Burst Fist. According to the rules of the family, only when you reach the third level of the constitution domain can you learn it. I will teach you it when that time comes.” Looking at her daughter’s eagerness to learn, Ye Huang Yu’s heart inexplicably felt a wave of gratitude.

On the other hand, Ye Ling Yue only one thought in mind. I will definitely reach the third level of the constitution domain!

  1. I dislike the vital energy term. I’d prefer something like qi or world essence, optionally heaven energy.

  2. Thanks for he chapters. Looking forward for the next one. Ive been waiting for someone to pick up this novel. Thanks a lot for the hardwork.

  3. Um, I’m like, kind of confused. Is she a transmigrated person, a reincarnated person from the future, or did the hit on her head really actually make her intelligent? Did I miss it, or did the author not specify? Because that’s bothering me A LOT.

    1. It’s actually bothering me too, because the novel states that she just stopped being retarded, but what the novel shows is clearly a transmigrator. All in all, I think that either the author is confusing knowledge with intelligence, and therefore doesn’t necessarily realize that even if the MC stopped being stupid, she would not immediately realize that she was ignorant of the world around her just because of that, because she wouldn’t have the experience to recognize what being ignorant of the world even is; or there’s a future plot point coming explaining something like fused souls, reincarnation, transmigration or whatever, far in the future.

Because honestly, nothing about this MC makes any sense if there isn’t any past experiences outside of the 13 years spent as a retard, because those memories would never help the now cured MC even recognize that there exists a world bigger than the one she knew these 13 years.
