Chapter 9 “Rolynn’s Seduction Plan”
The magician’s stubbornness was more than what he had expected, but Du Wei had his ways and will eventually break him.
“Keep your eyes on him, don’t let him escape. Don’t forget he’s a magician. Just don’t let him recover his magic pool. A magician without magic fares worse than a normal person.” Du Wei told the knights looking over the captive. “Remember, every once in a while give him a cold bath. Don’t let him have time to sleep or meditate.”
Magic is spiritual energy. The easiest way for a human to restore their spirit was through rest whereas magicians can boost this through meditation.
Du Wei got back to his room and closed the door. This cheap tavern would naturally not have a luxury suite. After some quick cleaning, it’s at least passable.
What did surprise Du Wei though was the girl in the room: she was tied to a chair in the bondage style. Now Du Wei understood the odd looks coming from those knights…..
As Du Wei stepped closer, Rolynn was truly frightened now, “This bastard looked young. Perhaps he wouldn’t do those horrible things to me.” Rolynn wasn’t being excessive; she understood how seductive her body was to men.
Rather than being afraid of the boy lusting after her, on the contrary, she’s more afraid the little twerp wouldn’t. Without the usual conniving urges of men, Rolynn wouldn’t be able to exploit it. It’s not easy being an adventurer, especially when her party was this weak. Through years of roaming in this world, she had learned to deceit others with her bodily assets. So long as it doesn’t go past her limit, she’s willing to give the other side some service if the conditions are sufficiently pleasing. For example: the scimitar was given to her by a mercenary corps leader and this time she lured that magician into her team using her charms.
She’s like a fox, cunning everyone yet at the same time protecting herself.
Like her journey this time down south. Prior to arriving in the Kurt Province, Rolynn had seduced a noble in the north and was gifted with an enchanted leather armor handed down in the guy’s family. But before the poor guy realized it, Rolynn had fled before he could even touch her.
As Du Wei walked closer and his hand closing in. Rolynn gave a sigh and was prepared to make the sacrifice. She started to consider how to make Du Wei release her. Perhaps acting submissive to satisfy him? Or act pitiful and beg for sympathy?
After balancing her options, Rolynn decided to act innocent and naive. Yes, a shy expression, a scared look, and those innocent eyes. This should seduce boys his age.
Rolynn was quite confident in her acting. She believed once Du Wei saw it, he would show a bit of sympathy.
“Please, don’t…” She said as a hand reached behind her back. Her body started shivering at the right time. The hand unbuttoned the strap, and then the armor left her body to expose the inner garments.
What will he do? Rolynn felt nervous. Will he jump on me? Rolynn’s mind was racing with these thoughts. And then it was quiet, too quiet.
Rolynn finally opened her eyes and looked at the noble standing in front of her. Examining the armor with such concentration, she realizes the kid didn’t even spare her a glance.
Stupid kid. Damn him. Couldn’t he see my body? Rolynn got mad at the sight. Is he even a guy? Or is he blind?
Rolynn gave a discreet cough trying to get his attention. But her efforts were futile. The noble walked away to a chair then sat down and continued his examination. Rolynn continued coughing louder and louder.
“Does your throat hurt?” Du Wei casually asked after a while. Finally taking his eyes off the armor, he looked at her with a teasing face.
